It's great to be a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Things could be a lot worse.
Misery loves company, my friend, but there will be plenty of doors slamming shut in your face. Be sure to pull that foot out the crack of the door before that happens.

FYI: good post.

This is a positive thread title...

For those still pessimistic/whining/cynical/'realistic' etc....

Or is a party starter by trying to address anyone who has any opinion other than that of 'Everything is awesome folks' in calling them out?

Positive would have been him saying that he liked what he saw from the Cowboys on Sunday and giving a few examples of these things.

This thread was about him trying to say he's chosen a side. That's he not like the people who see both sides of the fence. That he's a 'better fan' than all those who can criticize as well as praise things about the Dallas Cowboys.

To be blunt.

This thread was about this.

Look at me I'm being a great fan and I hope all the other great fans come in here and post the stupid hand clap thing so I can feel good about my fandom of the Dallas Cowboys.

More silly than pathetic.

I could not tell you if the OG had 14,000 posts or 2 posts and I have no idea if I have ever 'conversed' with him on here so it's nothing against him personally.

But all these threads on here of fans trying to constantly call out other fans because they don't like every little nook and cranny about the team gets tiresome.

And boring. Probably as boring as if every thread on here was about all the good stuff that happened on Sunday.

The OP is comparing the organization to other organizations and saying we're in a good spot. Not sure what problem you have with it. He even acknowledges several of the teams shortcomings and separately apologizes for the tone of the title. This is so far from calling out other fans because they don't like every noon and cranny about the team that it's not even worth debating.

But here's a novel idea: if the cynical, pessimistic, whining 'realists' don't like being called out, they can always change their behavior. There's room for vigorous criticism and meaningful debate on a sports message board without resorting to the wailing and pissing-blood we all witnessed this offseason. And if you pay attention, the ones complaining most about the call-out threads are the ones who were complaining the loudest and for all the wrong reasons in the first place. It's beyond me why they seem to think it's ok to go loudly way out on those limbs and then get frustrated by the consequences when the branches break under the weight of all that hot air.

Yep. Those that whine the most are the quickest to point out that they are keeping it real, or not drinking the koolaid. Every dang forum is the same.

A lot of us are on opposite sides of the fence in several areas. So much so that some allow Winning to get in the way of winning an argument. I have a lot of bad things to say about our team sometimes, but when it's game day, I'm 100% on board with the players and coaches.

Now after the game may be a different story, but I'd hope that no matter who's on this team, we all need to be rooting for victories at all times.

I may have a lot of crow to eat later on, and I'll gladly do that because it means that we've done extremely well.

So this week, I'm a happy camper. If we lose Sunday, I'll be an unhappy camper next week.

You guys do realise we will eventually lose a game and threads like this will get every idiot/Commander fan with a Cowboy username to flame out when it happens?

not everyone. There's some here that want to see the Cowboys fail.
And far more who are content with Dallas being perennially 9-7, eager to hand out props to Jerry Jones, and ready to make excuses for repeated failure.
