JG has had a lot more disasters than Wade ever did.

It would take a miracle, but this team would probably have to get to the NFCC for JG to even warrant consideration for another year.

JG has to a degree, minus Chicago/NO this year kept the games very close, in many cases one play from a victory.

That leads to the false impression that we are close, when in reality we miss opportunities to close out wins, or find ourselves down to the last series with long yardage to go to get in position to win.

The opposing team pressure us, and in forcing the ball Tony turns it over. In many cases it's to a LB , or nickel back on a short pass, not a CB on a longer route.

The Seahawks and Bears both blew us out last year. And the year before that the Eagles handed it to use twice and the Giants killed us in the finale. The last three or so years is just littered with blowouts and epic collapses.

Make the playoffs so San Fran or New Orleans can curb stomp us in the first round......................no thanks......................3 embarrassing loses on national TV in the last month is enough.

So you're going to watch the game this Sunday hoping for the Cowboys to lose?

Good memory. Maybe I just wanted to forget all those disasters :):)

Do the math, smart guy. Simple addition is all it takes. Re-take kindergarten if needed.

If the Cowboys had beaten Green Bay, they'd be 8-6. Tied with Philly.

Then if the Cowboys beat Washington and Philly beat Chicago, they'd both be 9-6.

Then whoever wins in Week 17 would win the division at 10-6.

Get it now? Or would you like to keep embarrassing yourself?

you are correct, i had it wrong
however, when it comes to embarrasing posts, i believe you have the stage with your blind posts

I'm of the opinion that Garrett will get fired, regardless of the season's outcome. When looking back at the season in it's entirety, squeaking into the playoffs in probably the worst history of the NFCE would not seem to merit another year. But then he kept Wade after the 44-6 disaster, so Jerry could surprise.

If Garrett does get fired, fine. But I have no confidence in who is hiring the new head coach either. For some it would almost be like...why bother firing Garrett at all.

You are right, using the Wade example, you just never know with this guy. What you do know though is that it will be done in a splashy sort of way that garners headlines and probably on a day where it's quiet in the other major sports so it grabs the top headline. Entertainment, relevant, etc.

Chi will beat Philly. If so then we don't have to win but a win is really necessary for the team and fans IMO.

Keep this in mind: if the Cowboys and Eagles both win this Sunday OR if they both lose, then the loss to Green Bay would end up being completely irrelevant to our chances at winning the division.

Don't care what anyone else says, I want a home playoff game this year.

I want a REAL coach. If it takes losing to get one then I am okay with it since I have come to expect us to lose every game with Garrett at the helm. A home playoff game would be a joke since it would just Garrett another chance to find a new way to lose a game but the sad part is it would give Jerry just the excuse to keep the Red Headed Idiot.

Some of us aren't even upset about actual wins and losses. We're upset about the terrible football we've put on the field.

Not all of us would be happy winning the division at 6-10 if we did it by beating three 5-11 teams.

What has made the JG years so frustrating is the new and creative ways we find to lose.
How many stats do we see that say " in this situation the team that does this is 456 and 1 "
And the one loss belongs to us ? LOL
We have set so many negative records this year to boot.
This season has been one of the most frustrating to watch.
We win a few games, you start feeling good, them we have some epic fail of a loss.

The Cowboys defense gave up 45 and 37 points, respectively, to their last 2 opponents. One team didn't have to punt the whole game, the other scored a TD in every 2nd half possession until they kneeled on it in the final seconds.

All done - by both teams - with a backup QB.

This would be far and away the worst Cowboys team to make the playoffs I can recall. Having said that, I suspect there's no way we win the last 2. Neither Washington or Philly is a pushover for any team that would have our defense. And getting in the playoffs at 8-8 so we can get humiliated by SF could hardly be called a good thing for the franchise, no matter how much Jones would try to sell it as so.

The last two backup QB's have torched us like they were the reincarnation of Joe Montana and Dan Marino. Why does anyone think it will be different this time? We make scrub quarterbacks look like hall of fame material. The problem pure and simple is our defense makes our offense one dimensional and that one dimension is passing for some ungodly reason. We feel compelled to get more points because we know our defense is historically bad and get this, it will be worse next week then it was this past week. We've got linebackers and Defensive lineman starting that couldn't make most teams practice squads and our secondary isn't much better. I think our current defense has about 5 real NFL quality starters. Lack of depth has killed us this year and it may be worse next year with the salary cap hell we are going to be in. God, where's my Valium. :(

Wonderful. No thanks. So we can say we had a home playoff game, in which we will get killed in, you get 4 more years of this regime or even 1 more is too much. NO THANKS. I am hoping Washington and Philly put an end to this 4 years of sickening miserable football next week.

I agree. I want them to lose out. I'm not a fan of Jerry having some lame spin on how the season ended.

And we are such a fraud team. Outside of the pathetic division Dallas' record is 3-7. It's a joke that any team in the NFC Least gets to go to the dance.

I'm more than upset over the loss. I'm upset over the culture of losing and the black cloud that's allowed to hang over this team for over a decade. And 2 wins over Washington and Philly won't change that.

Not true, if the eagles beat the bears then week 17 game would be win or else no matter what we did in Washington.

Sure seems to me if the Eagles beat the Bears, and we lose to the Commanders, the Eagles clinch before week 17.
