Honestly I thought she was more attractive in that than most of her other movies.

She was the total package in Basic Instinct. It is hard to beat her level of sexy in that movie.

I would have to say Josey Wales and Unforgiven would top my list of western movies. Clint is just that damn good.

That's admirable. I can understand that...but for me there's just something irresistible about the heightened realism they seem to capture in newer films. I like the original too, FWIW.

I think the heightened realism is exactly why older films are better. Psycho for instance. You never see Janet Leigh stabbed but your imagination runs amok at how she is getting hacked to death. The imagination is more powerful than perception.

Just my 2 cents.
 
There is something great about old movies. Like riding off into the sunset.
