[I said who haven't given up :D]

Seriously. Does anyone here think a Dallas 10-6 record could get a playoff game in this division? IF the Cowboys somehow put it together and IF they enter the bye on a win, IF they are playing at the current defense level (hopefully better) and IF the offense plays the way they should?
Can the Cowboys win 8 more games? Would 4 division wins be enough?
We have a brutal stretch. Saints on the road. Eagles twice, Chargers. Grreen Bay @ Lambeau.
Anybody see this happening? :eek::

That's a lot of ifs.

I think it depends on Romo and Felix Jones.

Our defense is what it is. I think Jenkins is starting to show that he may become the number 1 corner pretty soon. If our offense doesn't get cranked up, then things could be a disaster.

So my answer to your question is, yes I think we can go 10 and 6.

This team has 8-8 written all over it.

Some of you guys need to start accepting reality.

Sure it can happen. When the Giants won the Superbowl a few years ago, weren't they 6-6 at one point? And got blown out by the Skins?

If anyone thinks this team cant go 10-6, I want to start seeing tank threads and mock drafts. Because anything worse than 10-6 isn't getting the Cowboys in the playoffs.

This team has talent where they need it to win it all. While not very probable at this point, 10-6 is very possible.

That is pushing it. I mean right on the edge. You never know but I'd say likely that won't do it.

Thank you, this is exactly what I'm getting at. If we aren't willing to believe we can win the games that will require a shot, probably 10-6 at least; we might as well acquiesce defeat and start mock drafts because the rest is just a big scouting session. :p:

To have any chance at the playoffs (which I don't think we'll make), we HAVE to beat Atlanta, Green Bay and split with Philly to have a chance, because those are the teams we're mainly competing with for a wildcard spot.

No way in hell for 3 reasons.

1) our coaching staff, mainly Garrett, are not leaders and can't out coach the other team.

2) Our players have no leadership traits or killer instinct.

3) Our one and only home run threat on offense, won't make it 10 games this year...Felix "Fragile" Jones.

I love the Cowboys and will cheer every play, but this team does not have it this year.

12 games till Wade and crew are gone.

Yes we have the talent ..... though I have no faith in this coaching staff.

Of course.

Despite the fact that this team seems to find ways to break my heart, all it takes is winning a couple of these games to get the confidence backup and have them hit their stride.

1) Can't argue with this, it's crucial they are better.
2) Here is one of the leaders http://www.dallascowboys.com/multimedia/multimedia_center.cfm?id=2377625F-DCD5-918F-651BFD2F4E791CD7
3) Guy was healthy through college, think it's too early to label him. Definitely need him, He is what makes the running game dangerous.

Id say youre pretty much spot on.

I keep waiting each week to see a spark. Something that makes me believe that this team can make a run. Unfortunately it hasnt happend through 4 games. I think we'll remain competetive in every game but something is missing on both sides of the ball.

I've said a couple of times on here that I can see us going 8-3 or 7-4 before we play at NYG on Dec. 6. ATKC, SEA, OAK, WASH at home. WE BETTER WIN THOSE GAMES. Then win two of the three AT GB, AT PHI, ATL. That is a very reasonable results barring a major injury. After that then you go 3-2 in Dec that puts you at 10 or 11 wins.

ahh... I dont think anyone has given up after 4 games and a 2-2 start. I dont see any team in the NFC save the Saints that we probably couldnt go 4 quarters with.

I just dont think we're a championship team yet.

I think its possible. Hell they'd be 4-0 right now if Romo simply had average games vs NYG and Denver.

I dont believe Romo will continue to be this bad all year. Other guys will be getting healthy too.

That's the key right their. Very tough to be positive after a tough loss, but lets take stock of where we really are.

Did anyone envision this OL playing as well as it has or our running game performing as well as it has?

Is it me, or do our young CBs appear to be improving almost weekly.

As I saw it entering the season, Romo was the least of our concerns and a true strength.

He hasn't been. He's actually been a liability.

So I think the question is really where do you see Romo's game going from here.
If you think it's more of what we've seen so far, than yes, we'll struggle to win 8 games.
If you think he gets back to a pro-bowl level performer than 10-12 wins is still very possible.

As far as the shedule goes, it's tough to look forward two months and say, of oh well we have to have 6 wins by this point or 8 wins before we go to NY.

I just take it one game at a time. Lets get a win at KC and work hard a few extra days to get back on track.

Still a lot of football left and plenty of talent on this team to run off 9-10 wins in 12 games.

Here's an unlikely scenario that may just play out. Perhaps this team is healthiest and playing it's best football late.

Maybe , just maybe our early season struggles give this team extra focus and drive them to improve throughout the season.

Maybe we reach DEC a tested tough 8-3 and proceed to finish up a strong 4-1.
