For those who think it wasn't a catch

Funny, Lions fans were saying the same hing last week.

Literally, all over the Net.

The difference is we have been hosed for about 118 minutes of these playoffs. Lions got hosed 1 minute. Packers another. *sighs*

it's only down by contact after they determine he made a football move, or a move "common to the game", because then the process of a catch is complete

down by contact is not the point that needs to be made and I hope Skip is smarter than that. The point to be made is precisely that Dez did make a football move and therefore became a runner, and is down when he hits the ground.

Yep

None of it makes any sense to me. Even now. I'm still not over it. I just don't understand. I also don't understand why everyone keeps bringing in the Calvin Johnson rule. Not the same play at all.

Do you feel the say way about that pass interference call last week? LOL

The ref that made that call was the closest one and he picked up the flag.

The call on the catch was called a catch. Some how it was overturned. There is no reason for them to overturn that call at all. It was bad and Dallas got robbed.

No matter what the opinion is of catch or not, Shield's leg touches Bryants on the way down, so had it been a catch he would have been down at the 1 yard line where is left elbow went down before the ball came loose.
That's how it was ruled on the field.

Yep. I'm more mad about the fact that we continue to get ourselves in these situations than the refs screwing us over. Yes, that should have been a catch. Yes, we would have scored. But Green Bay would've had enough time to score again. Same as last week. Lions' fans have a legitimate reason to feel like the refs screwed them over. We got the short end of the stick this week. Anyone can get screwed by the refs. The refs are that bad. That's why you have to beat the refs and your opponent by not letting it come down to that. We should have played better and put Green Bay out of their misery long before that final drive.

Couldn't have said it any better bro.
