For those worried about Dallas' running game

If that was the case then Gordon is the biggest bust in years!

People are worried because they are all in the tub together, not the talent!

My point was one bad showing isn't the end of the world. Dez wasn't out there to keep the defense honest. Randle and McFadden didn't play.

So calm down.

We don't have shady or gordons talent running the ball in dallas do we? The guys we have are scrubs. They have potential but only God knows if they will amount to anything. Why in the world would you not flip a second to someone this year and make us more complete. That's were the draft pick is going next year I would bet so why not entertain the idea.

Who's worried because of last night? I expected us to lose with Weeden starting. I was worried about our RB's long before last night. None of them have proven anything in this league. Randle is the best but that's not saying much. He's unproven. Have no faith in McFadden to stay healthy at all.

I'm with En.

Without the threat of the pass these guys had nowhere to run.

I'll start panicking sometime around September if nothing improves

...and the Big Nasties leaning on you for a full 4 quarters kinda makes a difference. Just a thought.

Exactly. It's not fair to judge the run game in a preseason exhibition that didn't include Romo, Dez or Witten. If there is no threat of passing game, what are the running backs supposed to do?

At least he played and has a good track record. Everybody knows what he can do. Nobody knows what these backs will do except get injured.
If they had played, exactly what would we learn from our backs running behind the OL that played last night? It's not like all the road graders would have played long enough to provide any real sample size.

We wouldn't have learned much but at least they would have played.

Knowing they would have played if it were a regular season game is more than good enough to me. One week isn't going to make any difference. Lets see what they do next week in their limited playing time.

Gordon hasn't proven ****! I'll take my chances with Randle at this point. Until proven otherwise, Gordon ain't the next coming of anything.

Randle can carry the goods. But we have a very small sample. We have no fire insurance. I was so happy that Gus could have been the young fire insurance guy. Haven't heard how bad the shoulder is yet bit it sux bc he looked serviceable and at minimum knew the plays

Shady McCoy only averaged 2.6 YPC on 6 carries in his debut with Buffalo.

Its only preseason....back off the ledge.

Yes, but behind our line that apparently would have been 20.6 YPC.

Who would be worried about our run game based on yesterday? it's our first preseason game. If the run game sucks all four games, and with Randle in there, then I'll start to get worried.

I really wish Randle and McFadden would have been healthy ... just because I want to see them and how they handle things. I don't think they would have done much better than Johnson, though, with two starting linemen sitting out, Weeden at QB and Dez not playing, too.
