My 'embarrassing' moment was when I had heard that a statistical fact that 75% of the games in the NFL were decided by a field goal or less. IIRC, I showed the Skins games from a season where they actually lost by 3 points or less the majority of the time. I then found out that I was dead wrong. I haven't checked, but I actually think that the statistic is 75% of the games are decided by a TD or less.

Big, freaking deal. I didn't know that you're supposed to have 100% accuracy every single time when you post.

If that was the case, Extreme Skins would be deported from the country due to the embarrassment.

I hardly obsess about tr1. I'd say less than 0.1% of my posts refer to him or think about him in any way. I'm just calling a spade a spade. There's a difference between leeway and clearly violating a forum's rules. Those two morons do the latter and ES doesn't ban them and they get cheered on by other posters. So one can only presume that they must agree with these two idiots.

Actually, I remember an Eagles fan over on ES trying to quote that very same statistic (75% of games are won by a TD or less)...he was trying to ridicule any Skins fans who were saying that the large number of close losses the Commanders had that year might actually be a good sign that pointed to progress.

So, I actually looked up the last three years of games and how many of them were won by 7 points or less. It was just under 45%. I pointed it out and asked the guy where he got that 75% stat from. As usual, he claimed he "saw it on a message board" somewhere (the default response of people who like pulling stats out of their *** to try and make a point lol). He then went on to try and say how stupid it was to care whether or not it was 75% or 45%...which was a pretty strange comeback considering the only reason he mentioned the 75% stat was to claim that losing games by a TD or less happened the overwhelming majority of the time...not to mention downplaying the whopping 30% difference in his perception vs. the reality.

So, no, you don't have to have "100% accuracy every single time you post"...but it WOULD be nice if people posting on message boards stopped posting in an arrogant and condescending manner, and using unsubstantiated "facts" to back that arrogance up. (not saying you did this, btw...no idea what you did, to be honest lol). It was obvious this Eagles fan wanted to bait and troll and insult optimistic Skins fans--on a Skins message board, no less lol--and didn't think anyone would bother checking his facts out. Sorry, but if a rival fan comes over to our site and tries to stir up **** with questionable facts and stats, I'll call 'em out on it.

I know that's the case with me lol ...tr1 even sometimes makes it glaringly obvious that he's ONLY saying something to get a reaction, and damn if he doesn't get 12 pages of reactions lol. I personally said on that thread I felt he only listed Campbell as one of the 12 QBs better than Romo because he knew the reaction he'd get.

Hmmm...As much as I like Bennett I wouldn't immediately say that Cooley would be #3 here. I think he'd have a really good shot at #2.

But there is no way to deny that the #1 would still, quite easily be Jason Witten.

A lot of this started when it was pointed out that Sean Taylor led the league in TD's allowed in '06 according to STATS, Inc. I was then asked for a link, but that requires a password which at the time I was getting from a friend who works for the Associated Press. Then his little buddy went on a rant about how terrible in pass protection Bigg Davis was and said something like Chris Samuels didn't give up a sack in '06, and according to STATS, Inc. he gave up 4 sacks. And of course, I was 'just making that stuff up.' Only with the sacks allowed statistics, that is free information and I posted a link and the little buddy still denied it.

That's what Sonny and many other posters over at ES don't understand. It's not about 'setting somebody straight' or trying to 'be a know-it-all', it's about having quality discussions that are informative and entertaining on a civil level. Using STATS, Inc. in a debate is backing up one's point using an unbiased source. That's all it is.

In the Chris Samuels case, that was considered by most of the Commanders fans posters over at ES to be 'condescending' and being a 'know it all.' It was just showing that the little buddy was wrong according to STATS, Inc. The non-Skins fans over at ES...even the Philly and Giants fans....saw how wrong the little buddy was and didn't see it as condescending.

AdamJT13 is a perfect example. He is largely applauded in just about every NFL forum I have seen for his cap work, NFL statistics, and his posts in general. In fact, over at a different Skins forum he is largely applauded for his posts. But over at ES, he's considered a 'condescending know-it-all.'

You are the only person to quote this "stat." The only person. Not one other outlet picked it up. Not even admitted Commander haters such as Len Pasquirelli reported it. Don Banks -- who never misses a chance to poke at Sndyer -- must have missed it too. I am pretty sure they have access to STATS, Inc. But you should be believed at your word.

First off, don't compare me to tr1. I am all for good discussion. I've had good discussion with plenty of Cowboys fans here and on ES.

However, you ARE a condescending know it all.

Basically all this shows is you want to be lauded for posting "facts" and should be taken at your word with no way to prove or back up anything you say. Other then "it's on STATS, Inc...and you can't see it." Hence why you don't post anywhere but here. Most people here eat up what you say, and don't challenge you on it. As soon as you started getting called out, you ran away with your tail between your legs.

I come here b/c I like to be challenged. I like to see what's going on with our biggest rival.
