I have a confession.

This thread piqued my interest so I ventured over to ES and perused its contents. It seems like a quality site, though I must concede I didn't read the threads too closely. There's certainly no shortage of homers, making it like every other sports.

I was highly amused by how butthurt many of them were over Witten's response to Cooley's video.

You did check out the Around the NFL part, didn't you? If you didn't, then you missed the whole circus. You have to click on The Stadium and then Around the NFL. That's where the idiots hang out, not on the other portions of the board.

Currently, they're arguing that Cooley is a better tight end than Witten. Their whole argument is ridiculous, but it's no more ridiculous than the assertion around here that Cooley would fail to make the Cowboys' roster.

Other arguments on there are that Ware is greatly overrated, that Campbell is a better QB than Romo, that we'll have a losing record this year (pretty much every year according to those idiots), etc. You see the trend.

Currently, they're arguing that Cooley is a better tight end than Witten. Their whole argument is ridiculous, but it's no more ridiculous than the assertion around here that Cooley would fail to make the Cowboys' roster.

Cooley would obviously make our roster, but he'd be the least talented TE on it with Witten and Bennett there as well. Bennett may be young and unproven, but he's lightyears ahead of Cooley as far as physical talent. We just need to see how he develops.

I enjoy the debate on here, which is why I have 600 some odd posts here now in 4 years. Its fun, and I tend to be an argumentative guy for the sake of the argument.

I also am amused by what I consider a little bit of whining, which is what I think it is when your fellow fans here post here about 2 particular posters over there

Why bring it over here, when 99 percent of people over here probably don't care and probably will never venture to ES.

I guess I just tend to keep things compartmentalized, no point in talking about Cowboyszone over there because a) it doesn't matter and b) nobody over there can do anything about over here.

So in essence, this one aspect of CZ, by very very few fans over here I may add (probably 6 or 7 in the 5 years I have lurked/posted) gives me a bit of a chuckle.

Otherwise, this place is a blast. Come into rival territory, talk some football, argue, hear why the Commanders aren't the greatest thing since sliced bread, argue that they are and leave to come back another day.

are you serious? the "around the nfl" section over at ES is basically cowboyszone. the cowboys threads out-number every other team threads atleast 3 to 1 in that section. ya know why? cause a few posters including the 2 clowns that are being discussed here are obsessed with the cowboys just like you are. that's why you're signed up on this board too.

Cowboys ARTICLES IN THE MEDIA have outnumbered every other team's articles about at least 3-1 as well lol...so not only is it easier to find articles about your team, it also makes it easier hating all the attention given to your team, especially if it's full of undeserved praise (like ESPN's worship-athon last offseason concerning the ranking of the Cowboys' units in the league lol).

I'm in a few threads there where I get attacked because I'm using stats and examples to refute/prove a point.

It comes with the territory though.

I have to disagree with that lol...not that you do NOT do what you say you do (you do), but the "attacks" I've seen you take on have zero to do with simply "using stats and examples" to refute/prove a point. It's usually a somewhat arrogant tone you take while doing so. I, for one, am not bothered by arrogant tones, but I do take the same tone back when offering my own set of stats and examples to refute someone's point. Usually when I do use the same tone back towards someone that they're using towards me, that same person will then claim I'm attacking them lol ...

They bring it over here because they can't say what they really think over there. I've seen the same types of threads about ES on an Eagles forum.

Our site simply isn't run the same way as ES nor will it ever be. I chuckle right back at the defense of ES as somehow more tolerant of Cowboys fans because they are less obsessed than Cowboys fans. That is truly amusing.

I mean guys, seriously, you can't exactly go to other fans sites expecting them to be gracious, or cool, about your team or what you've got to say. It's a fan site for their team. Why go there if you're going to be bothered by what they say or think? It's obviously going to be toned toward loving the Skins and hating the Boys and such.

They might be really obsessed with the Cowboys. They maybe even more obsessed that Cowboys fans are with them. But every single time someone posts something they said, over there, into a thread on this forum it makes us look no less obsessed than they are. We've got people going to a rival teams fan forums and then coming back over here to laugh, complain, debate, etc. about what was said over there.

Generally I come here to see the opposing fans view of the Commanders.

I don't know nearly enough about the Cowboys like you do to truly get into details about the 'Boys. But I do like hearing the other side talk about the Commanders

As for Cowboy articles in the ATN section, well it is "Around the NFL" for a reason

There are also Eagle articles, Giants articles, 49ers articles (one today about Josh Morgan)

Lets get that straight from the start.

Nor will it be friendly for any rival fans. As the "About" section of the website says, the colors are B&G for a reason.

Just like here, come in with reason, back your stuff up, don't be a ******, and its all good. There are plenty of long time Eagle and Cowboy posters on ES to know it is actually possible to have very good, and heated, discussions about our respective teams and still not get banned

But if you want a Cowboy friendly place? Don't come to Extremeskins

So, let me see if I can get this right. According to you, the village idiots post dozens upon dozens of Cowboy-related "articles" and other fluff because there's so much of it out there? Regardless of the amount of articles available regarding the Cowboys, why do they seem to have to post it on a Commander forum? I'll tell you why. They're obsessed and they have no lives whatsoever. Ok I was going to leave this alone...but this I find quite interesting:

CZ membership: 13,952
ES membership: 65,348

The biggest difference between ES and CZ I see -- people here generally talk about 2 topics the most: the Cowboys and ES.

The ES ATN has many more rival fans there. And they have been there for a long time. Why don't they stay here?
