BP showed Jerry what great leadership spreads winning throughout the team. Jerry, please give up the GM position. I don't understand anymore why it is so important for you to be the GM after all these years. Darn man, give it up.

Yep...been saying this for a decade...

I lived through Steinbrenner here in NY...this is the same thing all over again.

All i can think of is all of us as Dallas cowboys fans do not show up to home games or buy any merchandise.. But that is doubtful

I will always be a Cowboys fan through thick and thin but im tired of Jerry Jones. He needs to resign as GM.

I despise Jerry Jones... I look at the consistent teams of the league and see how they build their teams and im jealous(Colts, Patriots, Steelers). They have great football minds running the show.. Jerry is not a football mind. He is a oil tycoon dirtbag. Jerry is all about money.. Not winning. Jerry said it himself he loves when the Cowboys get attention and drama. It sells his product. That's why the media is constintly diggin in our *** because Jerry invites them to.

Now it isn't all Jerrys fault. But hell he is the one overpaying average players and signing lame duck coaches. We don't have any good football minds running or helping this franchise.

couldn't agree more. jerry can't help himself. he's too blind to see.

We are in a Chicago Blackhawks situation. The old man is running the team into the ground, and our only hope is praying for a sudden departure resulting in the son taking over and the team having a renaissance.

start a petition to Jerry, to have himself step down, or at least have him ask himself if he's going to reevaluate how he runs things

if a guy like Phil Savage is endangered of losing his job because the team he built has underachieved, what about Jerry? his teams have underachieved or just flat-out stunk for the past 12 years

While we are all mourning the loss and think back to what was suppossed to be -- Jerry I ask you to step aside after firing this lousy coaching staff.

What will it take to rebuild this team? There are many too many things to list.
But for starters I propose that Jerry form a hiring committee for a new coach.
Allow Stephen to represent Jerry's interest but also have guys like Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Darren Woodson be in charge of searching for the next coach of the Cowboys. Then let it be Cowher, Holmgren, or whoever.

I am a lifetime fan and was sick of the lack of heart this team has had. Jerry probably won't pull the trigger on Wade tonight. But I officially nominate Stephen Jones and Roger Staubach to head up a committee for the new coach.

If fans really want to do anything about Jerry there is only one thing they can do. They have to quit buying merchandise, quit going to games, you have to quit giving the franchise any kind of money that helps him get sponsors and such.

Then and only then can fans do anything about Jerry. Even then it would likely make him stubborn and he'd stick around just to spite fans that he'd consider ungrateful.

But, yeah, outside of that fans have absolutely no control over Jerry.

It IS all Jerry Jones fault - he hires the coaches, he signs the free agents, he drafts...and he SUCKS.

Oh jeez...I cant wait till the homers/morons show up and remind me that Jerry doesn't tackle or throw a pass....What do you say today Homers ? Jerry did good huh ?

Jerry Jones has his new stadium, so he has very little pressure on him to do anything.

However, it has been very well documented that Jerry Jones hates being criticized.

1) The fans can voice their opinion and the Media will be driven by it

2) The fans could stop attending the games and that will get his attention really fast

Do what they did back in the day, where Bags on your head!

Going into the new staduim and having the terrible season you just had you need to bring back Jimmy Johnson to spark interest into this team. Johnson will bring back discipiline and respect to this team.

If Johnson wants T.O. or Romo gone then sorry to Your Gone.

If he wants Garrett gone Sorry Your Gone!

Swollow your pride Jerry and get it done!

jerry doesn't know how to bottom out. he's the old-school bad gambler type. too dumb to know when to say when. doubles down instead of folding.

even if he brought cowher as HC & tuna as GM he'd force a dumb, selfish player (ie. TO, Pac, etc.) on these guys and disrupt the TEAM.

Perhaps Cowboys fans could take out some add space in the DMN and request that fans cease buying any Cowboy-related products until Jerry Jones relinquishes his role as GM.

It's a long shot, but any shot at this point at least provides some hope.

Having fans wear bad over their heads in Jerry's brand new stadium has a certain charm to it.

Jerry wants a coach that he can coach the team thru.

That = Wade Phillips

I wish he would just save himself some $$ and stop the charade and get on the sidelines.
