Former Cowboy Bobby Carpenter losing out to Larry Grant at LB

I don't know why, but Carpenter reminds me a bit of Brian Bosworth. You see flashes of why there was hype, then a lot of darkness in between. The only difference really is that Bosworth was a loudmouth.

Not a loudmouth, but he is always running his mouth for ESPN. He gets interviewed a lot.

I have always found it strange that he grew his hair out as a tribute to Pat Tillman, but does not come close to playing with that physical recklessness that Tillman played. Tillman was not that good, but he was not afraid of contact.

None of the 3 Ohio State linebackers turned out.

A.J Hawk is solid but I've heard a few "bust" labels being thrown on him as well.

Carpenter was solid as far as Nickle and ST go, but could never be a starter.

The third guy I can't even remember his name but he went in the 2nd/3rd round and hasn't done anything either.

Ohio State Hype runs deep. You want LB's you best go to Penn State instead. But we'll see how Laurenitis does for the RAMS. Could still be a good one?!?
