Video: FOX: Marcellus Wiley: Injuries are the only reason Cowboys are on a roller coaster'

If you’re going to be a championship team you have to find a way to win when some of your best players are out. We’ve seen it over the years with championship teams. The Cardinals have been without Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins and they’re still winning games. We got waxed by a mediocre Denver team that had three starters out on their OL. They traded away Von Miller and Patrick Surtain went out early in the game. That didn’t stop them from pounding us.

As you say that I think Steele is still in his stance.

And another pass just clanked off 85s chest.

L Collins was still in his stance too if you re-watch that play. He got out of it little quicker than Steele.

Snakebit with these injuries, but doesn't it seem like that almost every season?
True but it's at the very higher end of the roster.

Still...all better than what happened last year.

Unrelated....I enjoy your posts....especially about Coach and the older times. Always wanted to say that. Thank you.

Wiley is the only one in the media who acknowledges this.....his Cowboy takes whether they are good or bad are always on point. I can tell he still keeps up with them. Maybe he's a Cowboy fan.

Injuries happen to every team every season. No excuses.

I will say that you are what your record says you are. Fortunately the Cowboys have a 7-3 record. A lot of fans are acting like they're 3-7

There is losing a tough road game and then there is the Chiefs game.

We should win against any team we hold under 20 but the Cowboys offense couldn’t do anything.. #1 offense in football and Dak looked like a rookie. Heck he looked better as a rookie.
Injuries to the biggest parts of your offense will do that.

Not score a TD?

With a 40 million dollar QB?

I don’t think so.

It’s not like we were trotting out the Detroit Lions offense even though they played like it.

MW is right to point out injuries have the Cowboys vulnerable. But I don't know that that is the only reason for the roller coaster the Cowboys are on. When you have the depth the Cowboys have, they should be able to cope with a certain amount of injuries.

LOL. So its never happened before? You wanna go down that road? Because the guy playing across from Dak didnt score a TD in the superbowl due to the injuries he had. And that didnt even include his receivers. Can you please stop acting like this is new. Any QB in the NFL missing their LT, and top 2 WR's, not to mention having a RB playing on 1 leg would not score a TD easily. Its been evidenced many times. Mahomes comes to mind, Allen comes to mind (and he didnt have any injuries like us and played the Jags) and you also were here yapping about how he DESERVED his contract because he was SO MUCH BETTER THAN DAK. Look at us now. You are probably one of if not the only poster on here that refuses to acknowledge that its not just us this happens to. It happens LEAGUE WIDE. Just stop. You look ridiculous. And dont start going on about "well mahomes has proven this" bla bla. I am talking about apples to apples here. Mahomes failed to score a TD in the Superbowl and makes 40 million. Period. And its because of the injuries his team sustained.

no its more then that having some players back help you win bigger but excuses for lack of execution on offense across the board is priceless..dak played bad in denver and KC regardless of the situation he simply didn't play well..
