When are these idiots going to realize we're taking an OLB in round one?

Not to mention Cutler going above Young. This mess with Culter going top 5 is just ridiculous. His true value is low first, high second if that.

sure ain't going to be no right tackle in the first.... we all know that...

Johnathan Scott from texas will probably get drafted in the second round and Manny Lawson gets drafted in the first...

Some decisions are made on emotion and not on value.

So your advocating reaching to draft for need?
Gosh, according to this mock draft getting Lawson at 18 is a steal. Seriously, I don't think 18 for Lawson/Carpenter is much of a reach. You have to go for optimal combination of talent/need and I think Lawson/Carpenter is the optimal choice at that point.

I'll still bet Lawson either goes higher up in the draft, closer to the top 10, if teams are convinced he can rush the passer at the NFL level, or lower if teams think hes not going to. LB's tend to slide down the draft consistently, unless they are seen as having elite level pass rushing skills.

Can we just get through FA first? For all you know we could sign Peterson to man that spot.

I disagree. That's why it's a draft not an award to the team already in place.

Peterson does seem to be the only viable option left. We haven't expressed any interest in him *yet* though.

And according to vitrually every other draft its a reach taking him at 18. So you want an olb in round one regardless?

and Young's should be lower than that

Young has all the media craze and "flash" going for him, but on pure passing skills Cutler is a better prospect

If the draft unfolds as they have it, 4 OLB's will already be gone by the #18 pick. Would be a reach to take one.

What about if Dallas doesn't get Owens? They will need to take Jackson or Homes. Dallas can still get an outside linebacker in the 3rd round. Ryan LaCasse. I like him alot more than Wimberely and Carpenter. Ran a 4.54 and weighs 267 lbs.
