Fox - Romo says Dak is the man

Pretty big of him. Honestly...I saw no way this could happen. Literally, Romo's last season was MVP worthy....i thought it would take that kind of performance to dethrone him and didn't think a rookie could come close.

Well....fast forward to week 9....he may just be outdoing that season as a rookie. It is truly remarkable and improbable.

Love Romo....one of his biggest fans. I want him to win a Super Bowl...but right now, this is the way to get there.

True sign of being a leader is allowing other people's talents to show. Tony is and always has been the ultimate leader.

I'm glad to hear this but I'd still like to see him say it in front of a microphone so as to put any controversy to rest.

Part of me feels bad for Romo.

But way more of me is too excited with the success of the team to be too worried about how Tony feels about the situation.

That, and he already has $100+ million in the bank, so I can't have THAT much pity for him!

I still have a feeling he will get his chance though. Eventually

I think people may be taking "he's the man" the wrong way.

I think he's saying he is a good player, not necessarily that he's "the man" for the job.

Hope you don't have to move from your home from the flooding, from all your tears.

I never felt Romo would cause waves and I fully expect him to continue to work hard in practice and have himself ready to go should the Cowboys call on him to lead this team. I have stayed neutral on this Dak vs Romo because I do like both guys very much and remain neutral on this.

Romo has had Dak's back from the beginning.

How many times do people have to hear this, or many various ways does he have to show it?
-Works late nights with Dak in the film room
-Refuses to do interviews and says he doesn't deserve to be in front of the mic...let Dak and others have the pub
-Takes Dak out to dinner
-Haves Dak to his house
-Encourages Dak if he makes a game mistake but otherwise tries to not say too much in the game "so it won't be too many voices that may clutter his hard work"
-etc
-etc

Come on. What has Romo ever done to make people think he's not a good person or teammate..and especially as he matured over the years.

People who act like this a revelation, well, I don't think they've been paying attention.

Btw, I also bet he thinks (knows) he is the better player at this early stage.
But give credit where credit is due. And, as he said, it ain't easy.

If Dak keeps the job certain people on this forum will be more butthurt about it than Romo himself, no doubt about it.
