The urge is to put the Cowboys at No. 1, as they arguably looked like the best overall team in Week 1. But roughly the same team lost to New York at home in January and until the Giants slip, don't look for Dallas to leapfrog New York until possibly Week 9 when the NFC East rivals match up during TV sweeps week.

Why is Dallas last? Because until they can win 5 staight Superbowls in a row, I'm just not sold after what happen last year.

Honestly, what does last year have to do with this year?

the Giants are the superbowl team of LAST year. Not this year.

They are not the defending Superbowl champs, they are last year's superbowl champs.

The Giants are now one of 32 teams trying to take home the Lombardi in Feb. Them having won the superbowl last year, gives them no leg up, or assitance of any matter. They are no longer the champions, they are no longer at the top of the league. They are just one of 32 trying to make it to the top.

The Cowboys looked like the best team in the league Sunday afternoon. The Giants looked like a team thats going to struggle during the season. It's as simple as that. Until the Giants show that they can dominate a game, they don't deserve to be anywhere near the top.
