News: FOX: Titans drop off recently released player's belongings on his doorstep in garbage bags

Lewan is a salary cap casualty. They are hoping it sends the wrong message to other teams so they won't show interest, and that they will be able to re-sign him at a lower price.

I don't see what the big deal is. This is common in the corporate tech world. One day at a previous employer I put my 2 weeks notice in, immediately after I was locked out of my laptop and escorted out of the building. A couple of days later a box was at my door with my belongings that I had at my desk. It's pretty common.

Agreed. I worked for Orkin 30 years ago. If you gave your 2 week notice your last day was the day you gave notice. They would hand you a cardboard box and tell you to pack your **** up.

They could have used better bags. Garbage bags makes it look crappy but if he didn’t clean out his locker then they did him a favor. Not sure when he found out he was cut. Some maybe embarrassed when cut and not want to face other players. But he was a pro bowler. Someone will pick him up.

IIRCC - Jerry Jones asked Dez Bryant to come into his office to tell him in person.
Let Jason Garrett remain in his office trying to convince him to let him keep the job, from what I remember….

Nice of them to give him the shoulder pads though.

Lol. He must have seriously pissed someone off.

They should have given Him a deadline to collect His stuff and charged Him storage costs for late collection.

Lewan's tweet certainly doesn't present a negative attitude toward the Titans for leaving his belongings on the doorstep. In fact, he even sounds grateful for it being done. Outward appearances oftentimes don't reflect the true circumstances. The negative criticisms seem convoluted to me.
