I agree. The humiliation from this will fade over time. As I said earlier in this thread, I am just thankful nobody got hurt and I am hopeful Romo learned his lesson. Which I think he has.

According to the WISN report, Romo was pulled over at 5:30PM.

per google maps: Approximately 35–40 miles (about 45–55 minutes driving time under normal conditions).

• Golf tournament location: West Bend Country Club in West Bend, Wisconsin (northwest of Milwaukee).
• Arrest location: Southbound I-43, just south of the Marquette Interchange

That would infer that he left the golf course no later than 4:45PM?

Yeah, see? He was probably done early, maybe had a few at that clubhouse you posted a pic of and then just left. The only missing variable is what time he finished playing golf.

These things are emotional decisions which cloud better judgement. In speculating, I've mentioned that he did poorly in a tournament where I'm sure he thought he would do better. So that was probably 1 in the down column to kick things off. You even see it on these boards where all of us have plenty of time to collect our thoughts and think about how we want to lay those thoughts out. But people get caught in emotional discussions and meticulous crafting of replies goes out the window.

It used to be easier to fight in court without the evidence. Lawyers did used to say do NOT "self-incriminate". An example of that is when you use deadly force in home defense....you're likely to be arrested, regardless of testimony or evidence. Some people don't know that. Lawyers will tell you in that case...do NOT speak. Say nothing do nothing.

Not the case in DUI. You'll be arrested anyway. Might be worse to not submit.

This is how I understand it. A breathalyzer is just one piece of evidence. You could blow a 0.0 and still be charged and convicted of a DUI based on other evidence. But each state has slightly different laws.

If you know you're not drunk, it's a good idea to comply. If you are drunk, I don't think refusing the test will help in any way in most states. To me it looks like Wisconsin is more lenient than New Jersey for example.

Yeah I got to say seen him do some stupid things but this one takes the cake.

And if you're going to be an idiot and drive drunk maybe avoid speeding through traffic and attracting attention to yourself so you get pulled over.

I honestly don't know which is worse to take a chance and run in preseason after back surgery get injured and lose your starting quarterback job for the Dallas Cowboys.

Or take a chance driving drunk and quite possibly lose your 17 million dollar a year job at CBS.

Both situations very heartbreaking , disappointing and life-changing.

Really sad watching them put our former quarterback in handcuffs feel bad for the guy kind of snowballed up on him and they certainly weren't cutting him a break.

Drunk driving is taken very seriously nowadays long gone are the days when the cop followed you home.
Old timers used to tell me about that but it's a thing of the past

Now looks like they are out to prosecute you to the fullest extent.
