News: Fox: Tony Romo arrested in Milwaukee for OWI

Dang. That'll do it.

Young Romo was goofy and idealistic. Parcells kept warning him darker days were ahead.

Then he got punished by unfortunate gaffes - much of it him, a ton of it on others though - from which I believe he never recovered.

By 2012, when he said he "figured it out", he had convinced himself he was going to win a SB.

Then one day in 2016, it all went away when he got injured and Dak kept winning.

When he conceded the job he said he went to "a dark place". I don't think he's emerged from it the same if at all.
Maybe not mentally but the best thing to ever happen to him was to retire and save his body. He will be able to play with his children and grandkids someday.

The network could use this as an excuse to get out of that big contract.
Bad decision to drive, Tony.

It does not take much to fail a breathalyzer. 2 drinks could even do it.

Unless you don't drink at all, everyone here has probably had 2 drinks and gotten in a car thinking they are just fine. Maybe did not even give a 2nd thought.

Not at all saying that is what happened here, btw. This was probably more than that
I don’t know where Tony is at as far as his announcing I personally think he’s fine but has the network fell out of favor like some fans have?

He's younger than me, but somehow looks older than me. Must have been a really rough night.
The puffy face is generally a clear tell for an excessive drinker. I've been wondering about this for a while given his appearance in recent years. Hopefully this is a wakeup call for him to cut back on the drinking.

Funny but most people on this site at one time or another have driven after having a drink. Do be so quick to judge.

Let the one that has not cast the first stone.......and here come the fireworks. :)
Mistakes happen. But being a millionaire and over 40? Seems like this is something that shouldn’t happen but Tiger does it all the time…

Given the new leadership, Jerry might be able to put in a word for him at the network. That said, they already have done an intervention with him that was well-documented - aka leaked to the media by CBS - about 2 years ago. And he is now a very divisive figure in how he calls games.

Me personally? He's lost his love for the game. Some of his comments are bitter and I even find his criticisms of Dak during games as a bit harsh. If I'm CBS I use this finally cut ties. I don't think that's fair or right or even humane...but that's how the game is played. If they like you, we got you (see Vrabel). If they don't, b'bye.

Thought he was doing some bottocks but maybe it is alcohol….I’ve heard people say his announcing has gotten worse I personally don’t hear it but if that’s the case maybe there is a issue.

MILWAUKEE - Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo was arrested in Milwaukee on Thursday night, July 23 for OWI, first offense.
And I was just saying today why I like him. I do not like this choice. I prefer the Romo who stopped to change an older couple's tire or the one who paid for a homeless person to attend a movie.
