Where did you read he got it done privately? The cops issued a warrant forcing him to do the blood test. I don't think they would let him leave and get it done outside of police supervision?

Ah, this one says that they searched Romo's vehicle before they towed it. I think the initial story from TMZ said they searched it after the tow which Romo's lawyers should be all over if that were the case.

One thing I really don't understand after the deputy took Tony's license back to her car he had all the Time in the world to call his lawyer and get a game plan on exactly what he should do.

I don't understand why he waited until she came back with the license and asked him to get out of the car to decide to call his lawyer.

He really should have called right away while she was running his driver's license and he would have probably had a much better plan to deal with the sobriety test.

Not really. Remember, she made no mention of alcohol until she returned with his license even if she smelled it initially. I'm sure that's deliberate because if you let him know a more serious charge might be at play, it increases a flight risk.

Remember, until she runs the license she doesn't even know who he is or whether a DUI charge is a probation violation or something else that could have him in serious trouble to where he'd be more likely to run, resist, or worse.

Once she mentioned field sobriety test, then he got antsy and wanted to call his lawyer. He clearly wasn't prepped though or he'd have just shut up once alcohol became the topic as we've said before, especially since I think the cop flubbed how she brought it up in only connecting golfing to drinking.

That comes straight from the body cam video. Specifically where the officer told him they would request a warrant if he refused to give a sample. Just do a tiny little bit of digging. There is no public record of a warrant being issued.

Another strange thing to me why with all that time she was spending checking his license would he leave an open container on his passenger seat and not put it at least out of sight.

It kind of looks like he just thought he was going to get a traffic warning or a ticket and be on his way.
I don't think he expected to be checked for alcohol.

If he expected to be checked in a sobriety test I would think he would have called his lawyer and stashed that container deep under the seat or somewhere out of sight.

The question is, what are you arguing? If there is no public record then how can you be so sure the perp refused and a warrant was even needed?

I know it's their law to get a warrant if the perp doesn’t submit. You are the one going on and on claimimg the perp refused to give a sample and that he was forced to submit with a warrant. I corrected you by pointing out the fact that there is absolutely zero evidence to support both of your claims. In fact, if anything there is evidence to support the possibility that the perp did not refuse to submit so no warrant necessary. You've made three claims none of which are supported with any evidence whatsoever. What little circumstantial evidence there is points the other direction.

We just don't know if a warrant was required and requested yet you're screaming from the mountain top that the perp refused and a warrant was obtained.

Dude, just watch the last few minutes of the full body cam video. You can see for yourself the officer explain the implied consent, and the perp state that he would do one of the options provided. The video ended there so we don't know the end result.

Just put two minutes of effort in.
