 I completely agree with everything you said.

And someone needs to get Dick Vermeil into a booth full time. He's excellent. I wouldn't mind seeing him paired with Collinsworth.

I forgot about Vermeil....Collinsworth and Vermeil would be a very good team.....Deion could continue with the sideline reporting.

I have Directv HD, so I don't have to worry about how good the over-the-air signal is.

Just wondering which overall telecast experience you guys prefer since I don't feel like doing the actual work that I need to get done right now. I think I'm over Fox. They basically plugged a half-a**ed version of JB in to orchestrate the pre-game show and if you don't get Troy and Buck calling ur game...you are more than likely to end up with some pretty bad announcers and god forbid even Tony Siragusa as ur sideline guy.

CBS has some pretty good music, it's fun to watch Shannon Sharpe try to speak english, and they roll pretty deep with good announcing teams, and Bonnie Bernstein was pretty hot even if she doesn't work sidelines anymore.

The loss of JB really ruined that show for some reason. I still watch it occassionally, but I actually find myself sticking mostly with the ESPN pregame show. One big reason is that it starts an hour before the others and lasts for 2 full hours, and they are really smart about putting the Cowboy segments on just into the 2nd hour to force fans to not switch over when the other shows start up.

I personally like the announcing team of Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston, and Tony Siragusa. I miss Dick Stockton doing play by play along side the Moose though. I do think the Moose is a better color analyst than Aikman, to be honest.

And I can't stand Joe Buck.

Fox's Pre-game is ten times better than CBS's show. The set on CBS is just horrible, and there's no chemistry between the crew.

But, as said earlier, the best at the moment is NBC. From the "Football Night in America" pre-game show, to Al Michaels and John Madden calling the game. You can't get better than that.

I totally agree. Joe Buck is horrible. They need to send his *** back to baseball and leave football for the real men. He's especially annoying in October with all the damn baseball plugs. I get so tired of hearing about crappy baseball when football season is going. I was never happier than when I got Sirius radio and the NFL radio channel because now I never have to listen to ESPN talking about baseball when the sport of kings is in season.

CBS blows.....

ESPN was great when they had Irvin...Keyshawn sucks. I actually also liked Sterling, but they got rid of him too. I wish they would get rid of Keyshawn and Young. I can't stand the MNF announcers though.

I like Fox when Moose is calling the games. He is my favorite football announcer. I don't like when Aikman does the games. I don't care for Buck either.

I also like the NBC Sunday Night Telecast, though the pregame is a bit lame. I also liked the Sunday Night crew from the ESPN days.

I like Chris Collinsworth on the NFL Network, but he needs a better booth partner. I wouldn't mind seeing Deion in the booth with Collinsworth. I think they would be both entertaining and informative...we would get an offensive and a defensive angle to every game.

And then Chris could talk

Deion doesn't need to be doing play by play or color or even sideline. He's terrible.

Best Pre-Game show: Fox in a Landslide

Best Announcers: NBC with Al and John, Troy and Joe a close second

Best Game Presentation: Fox

Biggest Beating: Having one player introduce the rest of the team. I hate that crap saying all these stupid *** nicknames that nobody knows, only highlighting the players that everyone already knows, not telling where they went to school. I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT. IMO the best way is when players just say their name and college, and its over quick, or they just put the pictures of the players up with their colleges.

EDIT: other than bryan gumbel of course

I think Fox has a better presentation and theme song but I do like Jim Nantz/Phil Simms over Troy Aikman/Joe Buck.

Same here. CBS games are amazing.

Plus Aikman and Joe Buck make me want to take a nap.

CBS has hands down the worst HD out there. Fox, NBC, ESPN, NFLN all have far superior picture.

CBS' presentation is also very stale, as is NBCs. The music on NBC is awful. CBS music is tolerable.

To me it doesn't get any better than Fox during the playoffs.

As far as music.
When I heard the NFL was going back to NBC, I was hoping they brought back the theme before they went off in 1997 because it was great. I believe they played it for Superbowl 30 as well. I don't care that much for the new music now but it's grown on me.

But CBS is terrible. It was nice the first few games in 2004 but it is boring. They just play the same rotation of the song over and over and over. No diversity in it whatsoever.

But I don't have HD TV but CBS has a better picture on my tv than Fox does. Overall, between the two, I go with Fox. Better personalities, better production.

Pre-game: FOX without a doubt. Curt Menafee is a big step down from J.B, but there is still too much chemistry between the other three to let the bumbling fool bring them down.

Lead Crew: Jim Nantz and Phil Simms. The difference here is that Nantz is far easier to listen too and less impartial than Buck will ever be.

I've always been a CBS man. I love there pregame show and I like most of their announcers. Wilcots is very underrated, tasker is very good and dick enberg is a legend. Also no one could touch CBS in the 80's and 90's with the NFL today and the theme music. Summerall and Madden always did the big cowboy games.

I just love how Curt tries to act like JB. He hasn't really assumed his own persona. He just tries to act sophisticated and it doesn't really work cause he's Curt Menafee. It's only a matter of time until he shows up with a Harvard lapel on his suit. Other than the that and robots though, I agree with a lot of people's good points about Fox that I did not think about originally.
