Dallas O-Line > Lions O-Line (C Kevin Glover & OT Lomas Brown = multiple pro bowls)
Michael Irvin > Any Lions recievers (WR Herman Moore = multiple pro bowls; Moore & Brett Perriman both had seasons of over 1,000 yds, Detroit had a better WR tandem (hell, the trio of Moore-Perriman-Willie Green was even better than ANY WR Cowboys WR group in the 90's)
Troy Aikman > Any Lions QB (only area of clear superiority, however Scott Mitchell was, for a short time, very prolific - in 1995 Mitchell threw 32 TDs and over 4,300 yds)
Cowboys Defense > Lions Defense (Lions' D had multiple pro bowlers: MLB Chris Spielman, NT Jerry Ball, SS Bennie Blades, OLB Pat Swilling = nothing to sneeze at)
Detroit ST > Dallas ST (Detroit had pereniel pro bowlers: KR Mel Gray & K Eddie Murray - remember him?)
Emmitt was amazing. Absolutely outstanding. But I doubt, very serious, had Barry played in Dallas during that time frame that we'd have some how been worse because he wasn't Emmitt.
And that has zero to do with:
Barry had the heart of a lion
Emmitt had a heart the size of TEXAS
