Do you have kids? Tough love works on some scale, but when it gets to the boiling point, my kids come first...always have and always will.

It's easy to condem or critize someone when you know actually nothing about the situation...

Yes, I do have kids. And chose family over my career. I now have both. My belief on parenting is teaching your kids to make the right choices and let them grow.

But being a defacto parent and "jumping" back in after multiple arrests is a mistake. In fact his kid was arrested again after Reid took his leave?

My kids come first but if they go off half baked post high school- they need to know it's on them and I'm not their get out of jail free card.

That's harsh but intrinsically it builds morale fiber and the want to do the right thing. These kids are past a "minor offense". These are menaces to society and future hardened cons.

And yes, I don't know what Reid's situation is. I can only see what his kids are doing. I just think flushing his career to "fix" these kids now is misguided and will only exacerbate the problem.

These kids likely despise the defacto Dad coming home to "fix their ills" NOW.

Football is a jealous mistress.

There's no single cause but the bottom line is that for whatever reasons, it's the kids doings and they are the ones who are going to have to change if they are going to have any lifes worth living.

Sometimes it takes jail to wake somebody up. No one can change them but them and that's their decisions to make, all the rest of us can do is watch and see what they do and continue our own lives.

People do what they do and I have never understood them, just accept what I see and go on with my life.

As much as I've admired Reid's calm, composed, and stoic demeanor on the sidelines(which was the complete opposite of his former boss Holmgren), I still can't get over that '04 Mon Night massacre at TX Stadium where he ran up the score.

Not true, from what I recall - he told fans that after the JEts deback he was done getting inside info from Bill as that was tough being in NY.

It might have more to do with Reid than with his kids. I know I'd be really upset if my kid were in jail, and it would be hard to focus on my job.

I have seen a multitude of threads with his inside scoops from his buddy, Bill Parcells on this forum.

It was never worth a dime. Not one thin dime. In fact I would say that of all the media personnel over the years who had info on the Cowboys to share his was probably the most worthless by a landslide.

It isn't anger. It's a statement of fact, his scoops aren't scoops at all. Like this one. The "internet slop" was ahead of his scoop by about 36 hours. That's basically the equivalent of me saying on Saturday at noon that the Indians are going to beat the Yankees 12-3 in game 1 of the ALDS. Is it really a story by then?

As far as I am concerned he is piggy backing PFT. This is old news that may or may not happen. If it does, he didn't break anything.
