Frederick Restructure Activated

Oh, he had an injury? I did not hear about that. What was the injury?
I don't know the severity or what it was but it came out after the combine that him and the other lb (Lorenzo Carter, I believe) were medically red flagged. The media did not say what for though.

Well, I don't see anything about the injury, so that's why I'm unaware of anything. Though, apparently, Belichick was smiling from ear to ear watching him at his pro day. If Belichick likes him, that's good enough of a reason for me to pounce on him at 19.

6-7m.
Is it still easy to get 50m to spend?

The Cowboys can free up about $27 million total right now of they want to- re-structure Tyron Smith and Sean Lee to gain about $10 million and gain the rest by dumping Dez, Witten, Hanna, and Beasley.

None of that is happening.

Yup if he can do that, there is no question that we should take him.

Plus, whatever that "injury" was, it obviously didn't hold him back from his Pro Day. So, if he's there at 19, then there's something really wrong with our FO if we DON'T jump on him.

Which means we now have $6-7 million of room since they were pretty much up against the cap after the Thompson signing.

Maybe now the Cameron Fleming deal can get done?
We currently have $4.7 million CAP room after trading for Oliwale, signing Joe Thomas and Deonte Thompson. We get another $2.5 million of relief after June 1st for cutting Scandrick. Total cap room is $7.2 million. Rookies will cost about $7 million. We will eventually need to cut, restructure, or extend someone's contract to make more moves.

Smith had a shoulder injury in February 2016. Played through the injury in 2017. He is tryng to let the shoulder full heal so he did not do the bench press at the combine even though he stated he is currently doing 18 reps at the combine weight.

Well, I did see that we had him in for a visit. But yes, I could also see him gone before we pick him. If he's gone, then I'd be thrilled with Derwin James at 19. Of course, if we don't sign Fleming, then I think our hand would be forced with Hernandez or Wynn.
There is literally no way that we take an OL at #19.

None.

Belechik will know more how to utilize the talent, that is why he is smiling. This organization can sometimes suppress talent.

Cool.

Now they can afford to lock up Deonte Thompson for an additional 3 years.

Thank you for the info.

Rookies won't cost anything close to 7m

Speaking of Belichick.

That guy has been crossing the country with Pro Days for the last week.

Garrett?

Might as well put his face on a milk carton.

Garrett's busy studying what other teams are doing.

Jerry assigned this homework to the coaching staff during Senior Bowl week. Jason still plugging away at it.
