I feel like in a way, the two are similar.

In fantasy football if you do an auction draft, you know what I mean.

You can either go big early and try to get big names while spending some more, or wait and try to get middle of the pack guys cheap.

Only problem is, sometimes when you wait, others do too. Then because there are a few people with a lot of money to spend on middle of the pack guys, you end up overpaying.

You end up with decent players who are not much cheaper than the big names you could have had earlier.

I think this front office is stuck in the wait and see mode, then over paying to get nobodies.

Maybe I'm wrong, or maybe just bored at work, but thats how I'm seeing it right now.
