Maybe an overstatement on my part but FA surely has slowed down to a crawl and would think teams will wait until after the draft before signing FA

Here is a list of top FA still out there
2019 NFL free agency seems to be winding down as we get closer to the draft, but there still are productive players available who can plug holes for teams. Here's are the top 12 remaining free agents.

Jay Ajayi, RB

Coming off ACL surgery, he rushed for 1,272 yards in 2016 with Miami. There have been questions about knee issues for Ajayi, who played last season for the Eagles. It shouldn't take much money to add the running back who will only turn 26 in June; if healthy, he can be a three-down back.

Ezekiel Ansah, DE

He recorded only two sacks while playing through an injury in 2016 and played only seven games last season for Detroit. However, he had 12 sacks in 2017. The former first-round pick should have plenty left if he's healthy. Coming off a down year, he's a potential free-agent steal.

Eric Berry, S

Berry has appeared in only four games over the last two seasons due to a torn Achilles and heel injury. (He's also a cancer survivor.) He's probably not a starter, but he could be a cheap and key contributor for a playoff team.

Tre Boston, S

Boston, who had an excellent season for Arizona in 2018, could be the victim of a deep safety class. He had three picks and 79 tackles while playing well in coverage over 14 games last season. He turns 27 in June. He's a potential steal among this year's free agents.

Zach Brown, LB

Brown's production fell off slightly with Washington last season, but the seven-year pro still had 96 tackles after recording 149 in 2016 and 127 in 2017. Brown, who turns 30 in October, still has enough upside.

Morris Claiborne, CB

The oft-injured Claiborne finally managed to stay relatively healthy with the Jets, starting 15 games in each of the past two seasons. He has often been overexposed as a starter and has mediocre ball skills, but he has plenty of experience. It wouldn't be a shock if he followed former Jets head coach Todd Bowles to Tampa Bay. Bowles is the Bucs' defensive coordinator.

Jamie Collins, LB

Cleveland moved on from Collins after he disappointed in two-plus years with the team. The Browns expected him to be a bigger contributor as a pass rusher, but Collins had just seven sacks in 30 games. He recorded 104 tackles last season and has the versatility to help in a lot of schemes. Perhaps he's just waiting for the right fit.

Michael Crabtree, WR

Crabtree, who turns 32 in September, didn't do much on a one-year deal with Baltimore last season after a down year with Oakland in 2017. He has more than 80 receptions three times in his career, but he's generated less separation in recent seasons. Of course, a better situation in a more pass-heavy offense might be helpful.

Stephen Gostkowski, K

Gostkowski has spent his entire career in New England, but the two sides haven't agreed on a contract. The 35-year-old has made 87 percent of his field goals since entering the league in 2006. It seems like only a matter of time before Gostkowski strikes a deal with New England.

Glover Quin, S

Quin was released by the Lions following last season and reportedly is contemplating retirement. He was productive in 2018, recording 74 tackles. He's 33 but should be able to find a new home if he chooses.

Ndamukong Suh, DT

Suh, who turned 32 in January, is no longer the dominant presence he was early in his career, but he remains a ferocious run stopper and adequate pass rusher. He lined up next to Aaron Donald with the Rams last season, recording 59 tackles and 4.5 sacks. The three-time All-Pro shouldn't have a problem finding a starting job.

Muhammad Wilkerson, DL

Wilkerson's NFL career is at a crossroads after struggling with the Jets in 2017 and appearing in only three games with Green Bay last season before getting injured. Wilkerson, who turns 30 in October, has recorded double-digit sacks twice in his career, but he is coming off a major ankle injury.

Berry might be a situation where they told him to go out and get offers but let us know so we can have a chance to match it.
McDowell there might still be interest but sorting through the medicals.

Look for Ansah to be signed in mid to late April after his shoulder is reevaluated.

These are the top of the crop of players that will be looked at after teams see what holes they have left on there roster. And of course there will be injuries at the beginning of camp and unexpected retirements.

Right, after the draft, as well as they get in some OTA's and they get to evaluate the UDFA's as well as bottom roster guys. Then we will seen some movement on theses players.
Also keep in mind they may wait more until end of May, or June, whenever the cutoff is that these FA's don't count to offset comp picks.

Most likely a week or so before TC starts there are some player roster movements as well.

Ansah would be interesting at the right price on a one year deal. Would be one hell of a pass rush.

I don't understand why Tre Boston keeps ending up being a last minute signing. He is better than a good number of starters.

Ajayi would be a good backup and it might be a smart move for him to come here. He won't have to play too much but will have an established OL in front of him.

For some reason Jamie Collins strikes me as a guy that would go to New England and be a great fit.

There are actually some really intriguing names left out there.

Any why in the world is Gostkowski still out there in free agency land when we have Brett Maher as a kicker? Surely he cannot be that expensive.

Not one team has brought him in.

It's odd

I know the Players Association would never agree with it. But I would love to see free agency come after the draft. Wouldn't that put a dent in the pocket of money Players.

Ajay, if we dont get a nice RB in the draft.

Suh is so enticing, but I still think McCoy is the better move once he is released.

I disagree to be honest. I think free agency is good before the draft as you won’t reach for certain positions of need and pigeon hole yourself for the coming years. It will also take away from the guys who’ve been in the league for years and trying to get paid who deserve it

Maybe I didn't explain myself properly I would like to see it happen just to turn the NFL upside down. But exactly I don't want money Players I Want football players trying to make a name for them self. That's old school football that's how you win in this league is with football players. That's why the Patriots have been great for so long can't they take to average plays that make them play like one. You don't play or get paid cuz you deserve it. You play because you love the game and you want to continue to be your best. But that's not what happens all the time with money Players

Jay Ajayi, RB

Ezekiel Ansah, DE

Eric Berry, S

Tre Boston, S

I don't see DEs, CBs, or LBs at this point. We got plenty, and quality.

On a RB, I think Olawale is our vet. He's Richie Anderson. He's taking snaps and touches off of Zeke. You spend more to bring a player back for more money who you didn't use last year unless you have significant and definite plans to use him this year.

Berry is a Jerry/Stephen pick. Take health risks to swing for the fences at a low cost that protects the cap. The longer he is out, the more his price comes down, the more likely he ends up here.

In both cases, they'll want to see what they get in the draft. Most teams are probably at a similar point. Some of those guys will get picked up quick after the draft to fill holes teams failed to fill in the draft.

Can't see anybody over 2m coming as a free agent. Maybe an outside chance at a trade (McCoy?) after the draft but that's unlikely.
