I know the free agency signing period begins March 3, but does anyone know when it ends? I think its sometime in July but I'm not sure. I would expect most teams to make their FA moves before the draft though, in order to draft accordingly.

July 22nd is for RFA's a URFA can sign with any team he wants at any time after becoming a FA he could wait until the fifth game of the year if he wants the time tables only pertain to RFA and Franchise players. I'm pretty sure.

Unrestricted veteran free agents are players who have completed four or more accrued seasons of service and whose contracts have expired. They are free to sign with any club through July 22 (or the first scheduled day of the first NFL training camp, whichever is later). On July 23, their exclusive rights will revert to their original club if that club made a June 1 tender to these players. Teams will have until the 10th week of the season (Nov. 15) to sign their unrestricted veteran free agents to whom a tender was made on June 1. If the player does not sign by Nov. 15, he must continue to sit out the remainder of the season. If a June 1 tender is not made to an unrestricted free agent, he continues to be free to sign with any club.

Hello isnt' that what I said? a URFA can sign with anyone he wants when he wants. not all URFA's receive a tender which means they can sign with any team when they want. Remember Deion a few years back. He wanted to come back and play for Baltimore with like two weeks left in the season but since he was still under retirement rules with the skins he had to clear waivers which he didn't san diego claimed him so he continued to sit. anyway the point is if he had cleared waivers then he could have signed with Baltimore. if VT isn't offered a tender this year and in weak 15 a QB gets hurt VT could sign with that team and play with them for the rest of the season. So your post while out of the NFL.com site is accurate it's not complete not all and I'd say most URFA's don't receive tenders from their current team.
