The Skins may have been the only team left in the NFL to give this guy this type of money. Even the Raiders figured it out.......THE RAIDERS

'Housh' staying in Cincinnati?

February 27, 2009 1:50 AM

Posted by ESPN.com's Matt Mosley

The Bengals are close to re-signing wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh, according to the National Football Post. The Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants are both interested in Houshmandzadeh.

Earlier in the day, Houshmandzadeh told the Cincinnati Enquirer that he hadn't even talked to his agent Thursday. I find that really difficult to believe. Houshmandzadeh did acknowledge that quarterback Carson Palmer has been lobbying for him to stay.

Would the addition of Houshmandzadeh be enough to appease quarterback Donovan McNabb? I don't think we're going to find out.

Haha. My friend is a Commanders fan and is so excited about the new deal. I feel bad telling him what I really think. We watched Owens eat Hall alive a couple of years ago in Arlanta. I guess people think he is good because once in awhile he catches a pick in every 100 chances he is thrown at.
It was 23Million, but I agree with you all on this one. We have had so few turnovers on D that Vinny overspent to try and force them. I think many Skins fans will be screaming at the TV when Hall goes for an INT and the receivers heads the other way for a TD (unless Haynesworth/Taylor/Carter can get to the QB first)

skins resigned hall 6 for 54 million and 30 guaranteed!

This made my fricken week right here. I couldn't really care less what happens the rest of the way just knowning that the Skins gave up 30 million over the next 3 seasons for a CB whose going to give up 10-12 TDs a year brings a tear to my eye.

Thank God we're keeping TO. I can't WAIT to line D-Hall up on him.

Chances of the Cowboys getting the following this free agency period:

LB-Derrick Brooks (TB) OR Keith Brooking (ATL) OR Ray Lewis (BAL)
WR-Joey Galloway (TB) OR Laveranues Coles (NYJ) OR TJ Houz (CIN) OR Marvin Harrison (IND) OR Anquan Boldin (ARI)
QB-Kyle Boller (BAL) OR Jeff Garcia (TB) [JUST PLEASE NOT Rex Grossman!!!]

S-Keith Davis (DAL)
WR-Miles Austin (DAL)
WR-San Hurd (DAL)
LB-Kevin Burnett (DAL)

It would be nice to see the Cowboys unload S-Roy Williams and trade T.O. to make room for a TJ/Boldin-type WR. Won't happen but that would be one of my hopes. The draft won't be too "expensive" for Dallas so at least they SHOULD have a little more $$$ to keep some of our FA's.

I think we NEED a LEADER on Defense and Ray Lewis and Derrick Brooks would provide this, along with a great, veteren-type player and good run stopper. Sounds like Zack Thomas last year but these 2 are more athletic and in better shape. We NEED a veteran back-up QB... I'm hearing that Rex will be here but I think that's a mistake - He Sucks. I'd rather pay a little more and try to bring in a Garcia or go with an "better than Bollinger" QB like Boller. A verteran and quick WR would be great to go along with Roy Williams, Crayton and IF T.O. is still there but I'd love to replace him with TJ :) Again, won't happen :( If not TJ then maybe a vet like Galloway (former Cowboys), Coles or Harrison. How they gel with T.O. is a major issue.

I think we HAVE to keep Austin and Davis... KEY players on our team. Hurd is a very good backup and returner while Burnett solidifies depth.

Some money will be used on our rookies but because of the lack of a 1st round pick, the money spent here will be a lot less. If they trade players and move up in the draft into the 1st round, then things get altered a bit, obviously.

That's it... I'm High... Bye

Geez, that sucks too. Both the Andrews brothers together? Ugh.

yeah the eagles are making me nervous they are going to set themselves up to be really good for the next 5 years.

They have a qb in waiting if something happens to mcnabb thanks to us.

3 picks in the first two rounds...

THey kicked our tails as it is.

They could take control of this division once again. Now that parcells and gibbs are gone from the division I could see reid and johnson running over the rest of the staffs like they did for so long.
