I can't help but to laugh when I see Parnell and Graham get paid more than it would take to sign the offensive player of the year Demarco Murray or the former offensive player of the year Adrian Peterson. I think things have gone crazy when Demarco Murray can't get paid what his back up offensive tackle is making.

The league has gone a little crazy with how they are valuing running backs that have proven to run over the league....

Who has more of an impact on the game Murray ,Peterson or a linebacker like Graham? How is this making any sense?

I think what Murray's value is is much less crazy than what Parnell got paid. I don't think anyone in the league valued Parnell like that. Just monopoly money right there. Almost as bad at the Maxwell deal.

The problem is that those guys didn't even get that much money. The cap with carryover is almost 150m for pete's sake.

Jax has a lot of money and has to pay a lot of money to get guys. So they paid Parnell top five RT money. They probably will pay Murray his 8 million if he would go for it.

Kareem Jackson just got close to 10 million per year.......

Who? Kareem Jackson?

But if Murray or Peterson get 7 million per year people freak out like they are stealing money.

I am coming around to over paying for DM. I see all this money others are getting...

I have no confidence in a rookie RB coming in and I am not seeing any reasonable FAs coming in either........ If you are going to overpay someone , over pay DM. Otherwise, you are taking a big, big risk.....Sign DM, draft one around 2-4...

This team has to be able to run the ball. Without that run game, Romo has to do it all, and he just cant anymore... We cant have Romo running around back there every play...This team needs a stud at RB.

I know Gore is old, but is there anything left in him? Just for a one year deal. And thats if the JAGS or Colts get Murray.

You left out that it is easier to replace a starting RB than it a starting OT. Supply vs demand.

No confidence in a rookie? It's the easiest position to make the jump on the NFL

With this line? See massive hole...run

Not too hard

I get supply and demand but it's easier to replace a backup OT (Parnell) than it is the Offensive Player of the Year. People like to say how you can just draft a running back in the 2nd round to replace your running back yet they don't want to say the same about an offensive lineman. How many running back drafted in the last few years have proven they can do what either Murray or Peterson have done.

Maxwell is not an elite CB and he got elite money. He isn't even a significant upgrade over Carey Williams other than his size.

Hahahahahahaha...OK

Big time upgrade over Williams...Williams is awful

I wouldn't say we would need to overpay for Murray. The man is loved by his teammates. He has been very productive. Plus replacing him would mean paying another back several million per year. So the difference between a proven player and a player that has been passed around is only about 3-4 million per year.

Parnell is a starter now and it cost the Jaguars a fair amount of money to obtain his services. The Cowboys let him go because they knew they could not afford to retain him for what he is worth. The upcoming draft is a great example of supply vs demand for the two positions.

yeah...i know. i know. I saw plenty of them during the season. And not just your normal, wide open hole. I mean massive holes! So, I get it , I get it...

Its a tough decision for sure. In fact, I say go ahead and draft a RB too.......:)

The Pats pulled off.....But i would say the Pats dont have to play as much ball control as we do, with mayo, revis, browner, wilfork, etc etc on Defense....

I just dont want to mess with something that Clearly worked.... In a very big way....

When that massive hole isnt there though.....will the RB pick up those tough 3 yards, instead of losing 3 yards?

Yeah, Parnell would suck at CB.

Yeah, bc you can't compare two players playing two different positions...

I mean, Aaron Rodgers DEFINITELY isn't a better player than Brandon Carr

Cause you know, carr is a better cb

You can go away now

Running backs have a short shelf life, so what you pay today is more likely to come back and haunt you than what you pay other positions. It's very likely that Parnell will play out his contract if he is what Jacksonville thinks he is. It's very iffy that Murray would play out the same contract at the same level he is playing now.
