Curious. Has anyone read anything about Dak's rehab? The hamstring was ripped from the bone and had to be reattached. Will he be ready for the season?

He’s not wrong. If your QB doesn’t have enough help and has to shoulder most of the load bad things are going to happen. You don’t have to look any further than what happened to Mahomes in his 2 SB losses.

Both he and Schotty have said that everything is on schedule if not ahead of schedule with Dak's rehab. At a recent children's cancer event Dak said he's not quite running full speed yet (this was last month) but he will be ready to go for training camp.

No. 2, my post was partly facetious. EVERY QB and his sycophants will say he needs more weapons. That is the universal excuse for never-beens QBs
No. 3, like Dak, Cooks is trash. To say Dak, who is richer than 90% of all Americans, can win, tell me on what planet and what parallel universe can Dak win. For that to happen, 6 NFC teams would have to disappear and 4 AFC teams would have to do the same.
Some fans just cannot stay in reality.
That bloke Dak was not a winner in college nor in the NFL when it counts.

Free agency has started and the Dallas Cowboys are once again continuing their frugal ways, which means there isn't much help coming for the highest paid player on the team. Quarterback Dak Prescott is the lightning rod for both the Cowboys' successes and failures, but according to wide receiver Brandin Cooks, it's the organization that needs to step up their game, not Prescott.

In an interview with DLLS Sports, the free agent WR who's made over $106 million across his career and played with Prescott the past two seasons, believes the organization isn't doing enough to put the franchise QB in the best position to win.

Dak has already had some of the best weapons in the NFL with wide receivers and running backs. He’s won two playoff games in his career, right? You can’t give him an all pro offensive line, two stud wide receivers, a stud tight end and a stud running back. Well, maybe you could if he didn’t take 60 million a year.

It has not been perfect, but it’s absurd to say that the team has done little to support Dak. Travis Frederick (unfortunate injury), Zack Martin, Tyron Smith, and La’el Collins were given massive contracts to help with the run and pass game and excelled for the most part during the bulk of Dak’s career. The Great Wall is gone and Dak was exposed to a poor line in 2024. They have given up 1st round picks in trades and drafts to give him receiver weapons, and the team has typically given him at least one high end receiver most years. He got prime Zeke for 5 seasons.

Micah should be the one complaining about supporting cast. The team has repeatedly failed to bring in much high end defensive talent to fill out the roster. They get a few role players and roll with it. Do you guys remember how bad the defense was in just 2020 pre-Dan Quinn?

Help in the form of the 3 All-pros on the line, stud running back, stud receivers, essentially everything has to be perfect - and the highest paid QB in the league shouldnt need the perfect situation to excel. Go out and elevate your team with your play like the other greats do, but thats not Dak.

Dak doesn't do enough to help himself. Since his ankle injury he is far less prone to run with the ball. Everyone knows this which makes his receivers job harder because defenses can dedicate more manpower to stop them. We just need a new QB1.

You made no mention of the problems we’ve had on defense. We’ve had enough talent offensively to get it done. We’ve led the league in offense with Dak and we’ve had the highest scoring offense with him but our defense has consistently been an issue in big games. We can’t stop the run or the pass and we’ve had no pass rush. Not to mention we don’t force turnovers.

Well I hope you do realize that all of the greats don't have Superbowl rings. There are quarterbacks who weren't great that have more Superbowl rings than some great/Hall of Fame quarterbacks.

Again.... we all know Dak isn't an elite quarterback. But history has shown that you don't have to be elite to win a Superbowl.

You have to have elite coaching and an elite organization/front office.

Hurts was making more than Dak until he was extended. Hurts will eventually be extended a gain with an even bigger deal.
