It looks like we have a lot of our own Free Agents to sign.
How many Free agents from other teams do you think we could realistically sign?
There are some nice options this year.
CB's, Safety's, Wr's, LB's, RB's, even a couple of DT's that would be nice to add.
Realistically how many do you think we could sign? 1, 2 3?
Hardy, Mcclain, Bernie or Leary, Jack Crawford, Mincey, Dunbar, Claiborne, maybe even Clutts and Wilber all need to be re-signed or replaced.
We are in a better cap situation than in previous years but Romo can't be restructured, Witten, Lee shouldn't be restructured. The only real restructure candidate I see is Tron. Could also save some money by cutting Carr and possibly Free but they would need to be replaced.
After re-singing our own that we decide to keep are we left with enough to make Major FA acquisitions?

I don't know how many of our own we will really sign from a 4 and 12 team. I think they tender leary maybe hardy if the money is right im sure it depends on how much money some of there free agents want or get offers for.

If they tender Leary it will have to be at a 2nd rd tender. That would make him a pretty expensive backup for a guy that plays only one position. Bernie can back up both G's and C. I guess it would depend on what they decide to do with Free and what they think of Chaz Green which I don't see how they could think anything yet. I think if they tender Leary it is with the thought of him being a starter at LG and moving Collins to RT. It's funny how despite using 3 first rd picks on OL and getting another 1st rd caliber player as a F.A. and using a 3rd rd pick last year to grab a RT, the OL is still not really set. By far not the worst problem on the team but still, with all those assets it's amazing how there could still be question marks.

I guess its just me but I believe you are what your record says you are and we are sitting home another year out of the playoffs in last place. so for this year we are not very good. a couple playoff wins in 20 years is really wearing thin.

I agree that keeping Leary would be expensive. Unless they think they can get something in a trade for him?

Not really. We're talking about issuing a player a one year tender.

The tender increases yearly between a minimum of 5% and a maximum of 10%, depending upon how much the overall salary cap increases.

The 2015 cap increased just under 8% and a similar increase is expected in 2016, though the NFL historically lowballs its projections and some are expecting a bigger jump in the salary cap.

At any rate, an 8% increase in free agent tenders would mean the 2016 RFA second round tender for Ronald Leary will be $2.544M.

Mackenzy Bernadeau is making over $2.8M this season as a reserve, although he can also play center while Leary is only a guard.

Unless they think they can get something in a trade for him?

I'd certainly listen to all offers.

Leary isn't going to be a starter here, so it comes down to his projected value as a reserve guard here next year versus whatever another team is willing to offer to acquire him.

With the injury to Escobar, Hanna may be a FA they will look to resign. I hope so, as then they won't be so high on drafting one.....

This is why it is important to get Chaz Geeen some playing time. If not at RT, then some at OG. This will determine if they tender Leary or let him test the FA market, and his knee condition. also if Bernadeau is brought back or not, being he is also back up C.
An effort should be to sign Hardy and McClain as a priority. As this will also effect in Mincey returns. no Hardy, then I bet Mincey returns. Just a gut feeling. That also may effect the draft.

Sign Mo, I think he shown he can play well enough, but don't break the bank, and also look at other CB's in FA and the draft.

Safeties, need several here, FA and draft.

I would let Wilber go at LB ,and Heath and McCray go at S. Their ST's play can be replaced.

Draft a WR unless they can get someone like Jeffery to play opposite of Dez. But I bet they roll with. tWill one more year.
Draft a RB, no FA there.
Same for QB, I am done with the vet FA crap they bring in.

Address DT in FA and Draft.

Interesting point about Jeffery... not specifically him, but WR's in general.

That's one of those spots that if you're not one of the top guys you probably aren't going to get a mint... It's one of those spots (as opposed to say DT) where you can get decent value.

I've been high on Jeffery since he came in the league. Would love to see him as a 1A.
