The Jet's had the 2nd best pass D in the NFL last year (yards per game wise) -- despite being in the bottom quarter of the league in terms of sacks.

I'm sure Ty Law didn't make that stat happen all by himself.

That says that someone is doing something right in that defensive backfield.

Plural. I would say more than just "someone" lead to that result.

Have you got stats to indicate that Law had a ton of passes completed on him?

Nope, I do not. I only have the word of a couple of Jets fans who told me they weren't broken up over him moving on to a different team. They were the same bunch of guys who told me Santana was going to be a beast for the Skins, I doubted them then. I don't now.

Maybe once KC Joyner's book comes out we can all stop guessing at how effective these corners were. I'll admit second hand opinions and just interception stats don't tell the whole story.

Any interest on any of these free agents left over?

Ty Law
Jamie Sharper
Peter Boulware
Grady Jackson
Orlando Brown
Dez White

I would take Law only.... too bad he is represented by the Postons.

CB is the only position on D that would take a major hit if a starter was lost IMO.

Seems pretty much everyones takes is no we don't want these scrubs.
Two years ago....we would have wanted them all.

Great job BP, JJ, and Jeff Ireland and the whole team.

No but he was part of an excellent pass D.

Or do you think the guys on the other side were so very very good that it made up for Law being mediocre?

If someone Told BILL TY Law would get 10 pix this year he would sign him!!! the fact is a player at his age and his position could bite the bullet at anytime!!!

u cannot coach 10 pix!!!

I can see BILL/JERRY making a move late before the season starts either to sign some of these street guys/TC casulaties or make a trade!!!

Peerless... Fujita... Eddie George... just to name a few!

I thought I heard Grady Jackson sign with the Raiders?
Raiders | G. Jackson may not visit
Sat, 1 Jul 2006 03:41:52 -0700

Jason Jones, of the Sacramento Bee, reports there were reports that the Oakland Raiders were bringing in free agent DT Grady Jackson (Packers) for a visit, but that may not happen. Jackson's return to the Raiders would go against Oakland's plan of rebuilding around veteran DT Warren Sapp with young players.

Law will eventually drop his price, likely before training camps begin to start. He's really not as good as he used to be, especially since he's a very physical corner and the refs are paying extra attention to PI.

thtas what alot of people too but i think his 10 ints last season for the jets would have hushed people, he's still in the top 10 cb's i.m.o.

And if the Cowboys signed Ty Law, Nors would likely put a bullet in his head because he wouldnt be able to start 167 "I told you so" threads here

what happened to nors? is he ok?
Nors had a secret unknown to most of the forum. He is an illegal alien. He recently found out that his old home had been destroyed. He left to find out more about the tragedy. The trip will be long and difficult, but he should return in about five years.

...wait a sec. That's Superman Returns. Nevermind.
