Free really had played outstanding football. I see a lot of people dismissing him because they just don't like him. But Free has been a pro taking the pay cut and playing very well. We know the young guys look up to him on the line and I think that speaks volumes about Free. One thing I noted during camp is he looked trimmed down and stronger. He must have put in some work in his core over the offseason and it's paying off now

Credit to him, and also to the unsung Hero Callahan and his line coach for really building this unit. Also to RedBall for surrounding himself with vets and letting them do their job. Add Marinelli into that mix. One area to improve or fix is special teams....

That is why we kept running at JPP.......by the game ending drive his Legs, his fire was out...and Tron then just had his way

On the Dez game winning TD yes Tyron controlled JPP, but the forgotten man Free stonewalled Kiwanuka....that is all!

Yes. Though Kiwanuka is pretty terrible. I suspect his days in NY are about over.

Not surprising that the only sub 100 yd game Murray had this year, Free was out with injury, so those who thinks Free can be replaced easy enough just don't quite understand how well these set of line is working so well together.

He's been very solid this year.

That said I have no issue with drafting his replacement to continue to build that O-line to an even better monster.

I couldn't believe how much time the entire oline gave Romo on that last TD. Incredible.

I think he is clearly the weakest link in our OL. Parnell is just 2 years younger than Free at 28 and I'm not sure he is the long term replacement for Free or not. We still have many needs to fill so while I agree Free's replacement needs drafted I'd put it off because I think we can still win with Free/Parnell at ROT for another year or two.

If they can't bring back Free would everyone be fine spending another 1st round pick on his replacement?

It sure would be nice if we find a way to keep the Oline completely intact. The big nasties up front give us a swagger, an aura. Fear the Dallas Oline.

I would support this more than offering mega paydays to Dez and Murray

Free is not the best player on the line, but he sure seems to be the leader.

Free and Leary are very important to this line. They have greatly improved. When they were on, this line was shaky.

The protection on that last drive was amazing.
