McQuistan peed his pants yesterday when facing Ware in practice, reportedly. Whats he gonna do in a game?:laugh2:

This isn't a great illustration. Most lineman pee their pants when they face Ware.

Some just like to pee their pants period. Mark Schlereth allegedly peed his pants during every game.

That's part of the reason why his nickname is "Stink".

I never said that but if you are going to make a claim at least back it up. I take it then that you cannot name even a single play though. I personally think that I haven't seen enough of the guy to come to any conclusion one way or another.

I'm assuming that since he hasn't been deemed ready to replace Flozell for even a single snap, and that he was a finesse lineman in college, makes me believe that he's still struggling with the physical aspect of the game

we all know he's a hard-worker, and has great athletic skills, so that only leaves one flaw in his game

if he was making great improvements, we would hear how he's having a great camp, not a solid one, and you can tell strength in shorts and no pads

I think that the coaches knew even a sub-par Flo who had an infected hand was better than Free. That is sad!

A sub-par Flo with an infected hand is better than a lot of healthy starting left tackles, let alone an inexperienced backup.

people are going to miss Flo when he is gone, most seem pretty clueless just how good he is, and how hard it is to find players as good as he is.

actually, seems to me most fans think if a guy isn't a future hall of famer he should be replaced.

What I remember is Hos saying that he talked to his sources and his sources said that they were high on Free within the organization. Nothing about him being soft.

I wasn't implying that Free was soft. I was only mentioning Hos's earlier comments about Free's improvement during the off season.

How long did he have an infected hand?

Free seems to be doing well today. Hopefully we'll get to see some video or preseason footage to back up what the coaches and those in attendance see.

I mentioned this on my camp thoughts from yesterday........I hope Flo goes injurry free this year, becasue our back ups are not very good.

Sure Free stoned Octavien on a play, but this short, stocky undersized OLB is no more than a camp body, and even then got some serious push several times against Free.

I hope Free works out and proves many of us wrong, but from what I saw yesterday, and again it was just the morning practice, I am very skeptical.

I don't think there's a player on the roster that I'm rooting to come through more than Doug Free.

This franchise needs him.

No doubt about that.

I'd love for Doug Free to be a possible future starting option, but right now I'd happily settle for him to be a legit short term back-up.

This is a huge training camp and pre-season for Free.
