From a personnel perspective don't create too many new holes

I maybe in the minority, but I don't think this roster to too far off. I would try to keep the personnel together as much as possible and address the need areas:

Offense

Keep-Tyron, Pollard, Shultz, Rush
Let go-Zeke, McGovern
Add-Elite WR, draft G/T, RB
Moore will be back, but we need more talent at WR/RB/OL.

Defense

Keep-Hankins, Lve, Wilson
Let go-Lewis/Brown (major injury), Fowler, Barr
Add-Veteran CB, Draft CB, Depth at LB, DT and DE
Hire a DC that runs a similar scheme

Moore/Dak partnership is toast. Gotta move on
Don’t hurt a DC who runs a similar scheme, hire the best DC you can get

I agree…I think we’re closer than most would like to admit. Even though we got a bad game out of Dak only 8 points away from the NFC Ship game in the road against arguably the best defense in football?

I’m doing everything I can to get over the hump before blowing it up. I like cutting Zeke, letting Schultz walk and hopefully a few restructures to give us more money.

Trade / FA WR (would consider doubling down in draft), FA DT, draft OL and CB early.

I just don't want to see them create additional holes, focus on the weak areas and address them.

I agree. I think they did a good job of letting guys go and replacing them last year but maybe Amari was one move too many. I mean I would've been ok letting him go and replacing him but they weren't capable.

Realistically...they probably should let Pollard, Zeke and Schultz go. But I said it las tyear with LVE...if the price is right...I never in a million years thought LVE would play on the deal he did. So who knows we may be overrating what these guys get. Kearse and LVE both got favorable deals.

I honestly am not sure losing Schultz creates a hole. I just read today that for the season he had a negative overall EPA / target for the season…woof.
I think it creates a hole...BUT I think Ferguson, Hendershot and Mckeon can be good enough to man that position. I don't think either are as good as Schultz right now but who knows by the end of next season.

I’d draft another mid rounder if needed. This TE class is loaded.

You can likely get another Ferguson type, if not better, in rounds 3-5.

Id keep McGovern over shultz
If we can get barr and fowler on vet min/team friendly deals id do it. Theyre good depth players.
Would like to keep Lewis if hes good, dunno how the injury would affect browns speed.
Agreed on everything else.

He was a big part of our passing attack, can we match his lost production with someone else? That is the biggest question. I rather move on, but you need to find a capable starter.

Another coddle Dak move when what’s really needed is a better run game.

I can’t believe some of the blocks they asked Schultz to make in the SF game.

Either of the other two can replace his “production.”

We need a damn running game more than Daks woobie.

Need both, but run game is better then our passing attack right now

Yea, I mean see the negative EPA note.

Hes an average starter IMO on a team void of weapons. Very relatable IMO. Need to be dynamic for me to pay a TE.

Ferguson can replace Schultz.

Bland can play outside CB with Lewis at Nickel.

I like Fowler if cheap but if Quinn leaves, Fowler will follow him.

I think an elite WR lets you move on from Schultz. Especially if its a guy like Hopkins who is consistent as they come. With pro bowl level WR's, I think Ferguson and Hendershot are established enough to do what we would need from the position.
