Not really, if they could address 1 out of the 3 in fa or trade market.Even this approach would require one heck of an off season/draft

Let's be honest, if we would of won the division, we would of beaten the Giants to get to Championship weekend. 49ers are our Detroit Pistons, that Jordan took several years to beat. They are coached well and are terrific inside the trenches. We did improve against them, just still need to address a few holes, especially on offense. This^^^^^ as someone tweeted we are closer to the prize than NOT. We were ONE game from the NFCCG and two from the Super Bowl. Remember back in the 90s, the 49ers lost I think 3 straight divisional games to us before finally breaking the curse. I said in another thread, with the exception of a few players, I'd no problem bringing the entire team back.
Schutlz's first two seasons were nothing to write home about, either.I think it creates a hole...BUT I think Ferguson, Hendershot and Mckeon can be good enough to man that position. I don't think either are as good as Schultz right now but who knows by the end of next season.
Agree but it sounds like Wilson is goneI maybe in the minority, but I don't think this roster to too far off. I would try to keep the personnel together as much as possible and address the need areas:
Offense
Keep-Tyron, Pollard, Shultz, Rush
Let go-Zeke, McGovern
Add-Elite WR, draft G/T, RB
Moore will be back, but we need more talent at WR/RB/OL.
Defense
Keep-Hankins, Lve, Wilson
Let go-Lewis/Brown (major injury), Fowler, Barr
Add-Veteran CB, Draft CB, Depth at LB, DT and DE
Hire a DC that runs a similar scheme
Biggest issue Moore IMHO how hes not gone with all these moves already is beyond me...im hoping..Offense
Keep-Tyron, McGovern
Let go-Zeke, Pollard, Shultz, Rush -- Zeke and Pollard have been pushed to hard - don't pay second contracts to RB's. Pollard deserves, but you don't know what you are getting now with his injury and when or IF he will ever get back to 100%. Shultz doesn't block well, and you have Ferg and Hendershot. Rush doesn't have the arm -- get a developing one.
Add-Elite WR, draft C/G/T, RB
Hope Moore isn't back, but we need more talent at WR/RB/OL
I hope for a new OC that understands how to build positionless backs/receivers and how to have run plays and passing plays all out of the same sets. He also needs to learn to use motion to setup plays and read defenses. And to be able to evaluate the skills of both his team and the team he is going against.
Defense
Keep-Hankins, Wilson
Let go-Brown (major injury) or resign with intentions of being on IR for the full year
Keep only if they take a team friendly contract: Lve, Fowler, Barr, Lewis
Add-Veteran CB, Draft MLB that can support LB and DE, Depth at LB, DT
Keep the DC
If DQ can find that awesome MLB that can play DE and MLB, and if SWilliams can cover a few TE or backs, then that would allow MP to play in the DL anywhere, MLB, or WLB, and come from anywhere. It would almost drive OC's insane, not knowing who the Mike is on any given play and which of the MLB, WLB, or DE is coming and which is in coverage.
Dallas has some talent, IMO, they just need the coaching to match up with it.
Problem for me with Pollard is not what he will look like next year.Pollard is coming back
Would be totally dumb to take a risk that a drafted RB is going to start and produce 5 yards a carry and catch 40 balls without some sort of solid option already in place. Zeke is done - he is basically nothing so he isn’t an option or back drop
Some of u guys keep overplaying an ankle sprain and broken fibula
It isn’t of major concern and u will look silly in a few months when he is either franchised or signs for 10m per year
I do agree we should draft a rb in rounds 2-5
They were not and I felt we suffered somewhat for it. Not because of him but because of not having a consistent threat at tight end.Schutlz's first two seasons were nothing to write home about, either.
