Front 7 film

Destroy the Rams

This was a good watch. My first take was maybe Trysten Hill isn't as bad as I thought he was. I also was wondering is this a Cowboys' fan or just an NFL fan breaking down film. He spoke very highly of the defense and if that is a non biased opinion then that's very encouraging. I love watching these film breakdowns. ****NOT-AN-OFFICIAL-SOURCE*** is another one that I watch all the time but he's an obvious Cowboys fan.

Thanks for sharing Dog, I always enjoy watching other people's breakdowns.

One thing that jumps off the screen to me is how Quinn lines these guys up everywhere. It's so nice to have an unpredictable defense for a change. Talk about a 180 from just a couple years ago.

Also Lawrence reminds me of Anthony Spencer, not so much in play style, but how he does so many little things that don't show up on the stat sheet. I know they are paying him big bucks, but it ain't my money. When healthy, the guy goes hard every play.

I know run defense needs to improve and I think it will. If these guys stay healthy, I believe they will turn into a nightmare for opposing teams.

I don’t think he’s a Cowboys fan (though aren’t we all in one form or another). He makes a lot of videos about different teams and seems impartial about each. He clearly loves Micah’s play and now seems pretty enamored with our entire front 7.

Agree on Hill. Jerry gave him so many chances & he's finally showing improvement after what, 3 plus years already. I have to give Jerry credit. He gives the players from previous drafts many chances. Was never a Hill fan. He seemed lazy & then falling asleep in the film room.

Almost Anthony is really the best comparison to Dlaw. If he just was not paid so much....
Quinn is the best D coordinator we have had for a very long time. Obviously accidental; sometimes purely by chance Jerry and company get it right.

well after all the duds we hung onto for too long we had to get lucky sooner or later.

He didn't mention or highlight any DT's. Why is that?

Since the pass rush is sooooo good, Quinn needs to tell one of our DT's to always stay in front in the QB. I'm tired of seeing QB's get away from the pressure by running right up the middle. So having a DT's to act as a spy would put a stop to that.

Yup. And a DT needs to be talented to stay in front of the QB. You don't just do it because you want to. Not at this level. Need DT's w/ burst, lateral agility, core strength, stuff like that instead of traffic cones.

Yeah I was not a fan of the pick and to be honest this is the first time I saw something in him that I was encouraged by.

Sweet, okay so to me when I non Cowboys fan makes a video like this it's really exciting. Getting a positive non biased report about our team means they're good.

Hill was so young, Im giving the kid this season to prove himself.

Sometimes they grow up, and Hill has shown early signs of play recognition which suggests that he has been paying attention.

When an evolution takes place on defense and there is one just taking place, playmakers start popping up up out of the wood work.

Donovan Wilson
Tristen Hill

Just talking about the players that peeps were trying to forget about are stepping up their games.

Look out when rooks like Bland start laying their claim for starts.

This back seven is a feeding frenzy of fast athletic youth, that want thier shot to make their mark.

This back seven stew is brewing with players like Cox and Muk, Harper getting eased in, even on the bench with players like Clark getting cleared for practice.

Guess we already forgot about Wright and Marquise Bell.

This team could probably afford to trade a Cox or Muk and not miss a beat in a crowded room.

Like the depth though.

Obviously accidental. How? How does the owner of a company accidentally hire someone. Yalls hate for Jerry is amusing.

Poor Spence used to get sooo much hate on this board.....The guy played the run well just like Dlaw and got constant pressure on the QB but would almost always be a finger tip away from a sack. He definitely did do all the little things that don't show up on the stat sheet as someone mentioned earlier!
