Knowing that the Vikings were probably going to cut him if he decided to keep his current deal w/the team, Griffen decided to void his contract instead & he became a FA for the first time in his career.

Amazing how some of these players try to make themselves look good by not telling the truth. Do they honestly think it won't come out?!

It's a coin toss on those vets who leave former teams on prove it deals.
Quinn and Cobb's production of 2019 earned them another contract elsewhere.

Last year's group had zero production and a certified dumpster fire.

I can't stand Spagnola but his punchline "why are they available" is valid some of the time.

Hahaha...what a loser! Everyone knew why he Griffen was available: overpaid and underproductive with his former team. Yet, many wanted him to come to Dallas? What a big mistake and a waste of time. Glad he's no longer here. All we can do now is laugh at him now.

I didn't see the part where he said the words "huge mistake". Just that he never should have left the Vikings, and that he ****ed up. But the curse was in reference to the Cousins tweet.

If he did say that though, the guy didn't seem to learn his bridge burning lesson.

This is why the Cowboys will never when a Super Bowl with Jerry Dumbo GM Jones.

1. He hires a guy hanging out in his basement that was WAY OUT of football lying saying he analyzed every football play of the 2019 season (entire coaching staffs and personnel staffs do this work). This is the same Head Coach that players said was getting massages and taking days off when he was supposed to be coaching.
2. He signs all these 4-3 defensive players, then lets the lying Head Coach hire a known Defensive Coordinator and coaching failure install a 3-4/Hybrid defense that no one can learn during a pandemic and was not a fit to any of his defensive personnel players.
3. After the 2019 season, he fires a Defensive Coordinator that gets hired by the same team that let go the Defensive Coordinator failure of 2020 hired by the lying Head Coach.
4. He replaces the defensive coordinator failure with a Head Coach that his sorry Cowboys of 2020 put up +40 points on. This Ex Atlanta Head Coach and Ex Seattle DC team is known for the biggest defensive failure in Super Bowl history. In the meantime the Saints hire the master mind behind the legion of boom secondary who was the Dallas Cowboys DC from 2018-19 the best years of Cowboys secondary since Parcells era (See Byron Jones).

The Cowboys now go into the 2021 season with 4-3 personnel and the Ex Atlanta HC saying he is going to do a 3/4 Hybird with 3 LBs, 1 NT, a bunch of 4-3 DL, and tall 4-3 man zone coverage DBs.

After the inconsistency of Jerry Dumbo GM Jones, Emerson Griffin just wants some consistency in his football life. Griffin wants Mike Zimmer? Where do we know Mike Zimmer from?

Yep. Great post. It ALL does make perfect Cowboy sense.
No wonder such widespread optimism amongst the fan base, lol. Sarcasm on

Yeah, he didn’t really say what the headline says. He just says that he never should’ve left Minn… i.e. should have taken the pay cut they wanted him to. Then he says that he ****** up by tweeting what he did about the Vikes and Cousins.

The regret is about leaving what was familiar to him and burning that bridge when he left.

I bet a lot of immature crybabies regret some of the things they do and say.

Bingo! He voided his deal before they approached him about a pay-cut, thinking he could get more on the open market.
