That's what killed us today. We gotta game plan for it quick, because our opponents are now all going to be doing it. The Commanders did some very good play calling on defense, and we need to fix that hole before the rain comes in with the Cardinals.

It was like our offensive line never seen a blitz before and what the hell was Linehan doing this whole time? The freaking passing game coordinator cant come up with a play to beat the blitz?

Every team we face is now going to bring the house so we better dam well come up with something to counter it this week. Only way to get teams to stop blitzing is to make them pay for it and we didn't tonight.

Its nothing new. If teams were going to copy it why didn't they do it last year? Deadskins and Haslett has been doing this for YEARS against us. But i'll say this. As much as the Cardinal's blitz? Get ready.

Sad part is, Haslette has been doing this to us for several years. We have yet to solve his blitzes. I thought this year was going to be different with Linehan. I guess not.

BTW, AZ is the most blitzing team in the NFL this year.

We do ok against the Sk*ns generally. This was classic WAS/DAL. We beat each other when the other guys are good.

And we've been beating the blitz all season. AZ, I'm sure, will try it some. We just have to have Williams and Dez beat the single coverage. And we can't have our RBs blowing the protections. Make them pay heave once, and the blitz backs off. We didn't do that tonight, though.

We should have known this was coming.....
Haslett is a one trick pony with the all or nothing blitz being the trick.

I'm not talking about wins and losses. Yes we won some games against them but in every game against them, Romo usually takes a beating. Just like last years game at Fedex, we won but you know what happened.

They haven't done well against Hasletts blitzes. It's similar to what Jim Johnson (EaGirls old DC )use to do to us. Set the edges and keep Romo in the pocket, and send the house .

Yeah, he gets to us, no doubt. I thought you were talking about the blitz in general. Haslett's always been a problem for Tony, for whatever reason.

It blows my mind that they don't have an answer for this after all these years.

Next week might be the most important game of the season because you know Arizona is going to blitz every down and try to use the same game plan Washington did. If we have no clue how to counter the blitz next week, we could be in some major trouble.

Basically we are going to see teams use the same strategy against us until we show we can beat it.

Quick outs with a double tight end set is what I think I would do, but I am no pro coach.

Haslett was playing madden defense. the coaches should be embarrassed.

The problem is, he lines up like he's sending the house every time, sometimes he only sends 4, but he's totally crowding the line of scrimmage. Because of this, Romo was seeing and hearing footsteps and was in a hurry and just nervous all night long. He has no where to run because they kept him in the pocket, and people were coming from everywhere.

finally someone admits Dez and Williams couldn't beat me in coverage tonight. As far as I am concerned that the real story from this game.

The way beat similar blitz by the EaGirls in 2009 was with delay draw, bubble screen and slants. This teams needs to bring those plays back.

We beat the Giants few years back with Ogletree killing them with the slant when they blitzed.

Anyone catch the Arizona vs. Philly game? Arizona got flat out blitz happy by the end of the game. It was almost funny how often they blitzed. I see no reason for them not to try the same with Dallas after this performance by the Cowboys. Make the Cowboys prove that they can consistently handle it.

Murray constantly whiffed on his blitz pick-ups. He has to be more aware of where the blitz is coming from.

how come we cannot be the blitz just once... Make them pay with big play??

We gotta see the blitz first. They pretty much sent the house at us on many occasions and for some reason we thought we would beat it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed that. He gets a lot of praise for picking up guys, but last night, he wasn't much help in that department.
