This situations are really silly to worry about. If we play starters and they get injured, we'll have fans complaining. If we rest starters, and we go one and done, we'll have fans complaining.

I have no control over anything. So I'm just going along for the ride, and hope it works out the best.

Play it by ear. Rest players as needed depending how the game is going. Close game finish it up so our execution stays sharp. Blow out game by us then play our backups (notice how I didn't say us being blown out ;))

Fair posts in here as arguments can be made for resting and not resting. I read that Red has consulted Jimmy about this....that's a good thing IMO. He dealt with it and dealt with it well a few times.

It is good that he consulted Jimmy, but I don't remember the team of the '90s having HFA clinched with two weeks still to go in the regular season. Maybe they did, I just don't remember.

You can't play scared and you can't rest guys for 3 weeks and expect them to be sharp
Cutting reps on some guys, maybe rest some next week but most of them will play if healthy, as they should
especially young guys. They do not need 3 weeks of reading their own press and doing nothing meaningful.

Nate Newton confirmed they didn't. Pretty much all their HFA years went to the last game due to a tough division. He said he's never experienced meaningless games having clinched all you can like this

This is a young team you already have one bye week you don't need any more time off if you want to rest Witten and maybe Dez that's fine but everybody else plays

Give them time off late in the game

You play to WIN. If we take 3 weeks off our odds of losing the first game of the playoffs greatly increase. Our worst performances this season were after breaks. We are probably going to start slow in that first playoff game anyway unless the trend changes. Dak needs reps, he needs rhythm.

I swear it seems some of you want this team to lose.

Keep everyone sharp and playing. Can't plan your games around being afraid of injuries. Injuries are part of football. Could lose any player at any time....including playoff games. Makes no real sense trying to protect them.

We need Dez to play like D Hopkins for the Texans.....catch then go down. Hopkins catches and immediately makes a business decision. We don't need Dez fighting for extra yardage outside of reaching for the chains, but carefully.

Aaron Rodgers is the new Tom Brady. On the injury report for 17 weeks and the playoffs.

Thanks for the info. I thought that was the case, but I just wasn't sure.

If someone goes down, next man up. Zeke-Dmac/ Dak-Romo / Dez-Butler / The list goes on.
That's good coach talk, but if Tyron goes down, Cleery? I think prudent rest of semi-injured players might be on order.
