Fun nugget on Tyler Booker leadership from SI

Up front I definitely want a little more accomplished action before talking **** if that's what you're asking.
But finally I'll reserve judgment until I see if coach Riley has determined if Tyler Smith is the best LT on the team.
So I guess I'll await TC before giving my final answer.
Fair enough but I take his trash talk with a grain of salt. Trust me, most, if not all DTs hearing his " making a guy not love football" comments are laughing their a____ off. Seems like a fun-loving kid just having a little fun.

Those having a problem with him are probably those that drool over everything Micah posts

Nobody is anointing the guy, they're just excited by the qualities they see. Yeah, we need to see how he plays and adjusts to the speed of the NFL, but it's okay to be optimistic about him without it being anointing. Give the man a chance before whining about him being all talk and how he'll be a bust.

I got a problem with too much talking and not enough action.
To include Micah so I ain't in that group.

3/4 of DAL's 1st round picks have been OL. That fantastic stat has gained us first round playoff exits and no playoffs at all. Great job.
How far back you going? Just four years(which includes this draft) cuz sure. That happened. You going all time? Then no, 75% of our picks aren’t OL. If you go back 10 years, you find 6 out of 10 WERE NOT online. Go back 15, and it’s 9 out of 15 who WERE NOT oline. Go back 6 years and it’s 3 out of 6 who were not oline…

Small sample size you chose, considering we haven’t gone further than the first round in much longer than 4 years, and that would mean THIS pick, which we don’t know if we will get past the first round as of yet in this season, doesn’t even factor in to your statement… so that “fantastic stat” includes the future….

hes arguably the most NFL ready OL we have drafted other than Martin - stop trying to find the negative in the pick, it was a great one and no risk whatsoever outside of a freak injury
21 225# bench reps
He best grind on wieghts all summer

ESpecially if he gonna make j.carter do a Reggie White impersonation

I'm on record for not liking the pick. After sleeping on it I still don't. I know he's a good player, I'm not looking for negatives, and will be pulling for him from this day forward. He's just so unathletic. One of if not the most unathletic offensive linemen in the entire draft. No position flex at all. This isn't a kid who can kick out to tackle in a pinch or give you snaps at center. He's a phonebooth guard only. Yeah he's a mauler and has some attitude, but that will only get you so far in the NFL. If this was a second round pick I'd be doing cartwheels, but it wasn't. It was the 12th overall pick in the entire draft and Dallas took a limited player at a non premium position. At 12 I wanted an ascending player that offered it in production, athleticism, and value. A cat that you could watch develop over the coming years. I feel like with Booker we've already seen his best on the field at Alabama. But hey, Ra-Ra for TB...may he have a long and healthy career.

Travis Frederick says hello.

People just raving about his leadership and character. If he can't play it won't matter, but it seems like he can play as well. Big addition if he puts it all together.
