Ok, the only reason why I am posting this sooo long after the SB is because the Stealer fan that was hounding me ALL YEAR about winning the SB in MY HOUSE only re-appeared yesterday.

So here is the whole story.

After Dallas starts tanking and declares itself the biggest loser after 8 games. The Stealer fan starts pouring it on. Week after week. We are gonna win #7 in Cowboys stadium.

I tell him, NEVER HAPPEN.

I bet him a silly bet, but a bet nonetheless. I bet him a Rib Eye Steak. I would see him at a friends family meat market, so it was easy. If the Stealers win, you get a rib eye steak on me.

So, fast forward to Stealers are in the Superbowl. Its the saturday before.

Stealer fan: So, are you gonna root for my Stealers.
My reply: Would you root for my Cowboys.

Stealer fan: Nope. No way.
My reply: Well, then no I am not(like I was going to anyways) lol

So we go back and forth for about 10 minutes.

Then I got a revelation...

I said, you know what I am going to root for the Stealers. JUST TO JINX them. You dont want a Cowboy fan rooting for the Stealers.

You had to see the look on his face when I said that. He looked scared. Like, oh ship!

So, the Stealers lose and he is nowhere to be found until yesterday, Sunday March 6, 2011.

So, I see him and he cant really look me in the face. I just smile and laugh.

Give him a few jabs. "You know its about time that Ben plays bad and THEY LOSE because of it"

So, what do I do to finish him off.

I go and get a Rib Eye steak.
I pay for it right in front of him.
I hand it to him.

I say, the bet was if you won I would be you the rib eye steak.

I said, I want to thank you for not winning in my house. Here's your steak anyway.

Talk about a defeated man.

And thats my story. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did executing it.

YoMick, that was one of the best Super Bowls I've seen in a while. I guess it had something to do with the Steelers losing.

I'm sure there were a lot of calls in sick the Monday after because chicken Steelers fans knew their sowing of the wind was going to bring a storm of trash talk their way.

Good one RED.

As I have posted on here many times, I live amongst steeler fans.

They are everywhere, .. at work, at church, they are my neighbors, my family.
My parents, 2 brothers and their families, my sister and her family.

(everyone other than my wife and two sons)

Steeler paraphanalia EVERYWHERE leading up to the Super Bowl.

Fast forward until now:

I swear I have not heard one word, .. not ONE word about the Super Bowl from any steeler fan. It's as if the NFL has not been invented yet.

It's like living in the NFL Twilight Zone.

Nobody has even mentioned it. Not even .. a good game, a bad game, a close game, an exciting game, a disappointing game, or a "we got screwed" game.

I would not rub it in, but I would at least like to discuss it a little.:D

............my wife's in laws were in this past weekend from Pittsburgh and noticeably avoided any comments about the game. When brought up, I said: "Well, it must be nice at least GETTING there, which is more than I can say for my team. Then, just when they started to relax I added: "But I do know from personal experience that there is NOTHING worse than finishing in 2nd place." Then my wife's uncle said "Easy win if not for Ben. He is the problem....." To which I retorted: "Maybe next year he'll play for the whole season and keep lil' johnny under control.":D

To add:

You guys just dont understand.

I had another clown who went out and bought black and gold balloons. Walking around the Saturday before SB saying, I am going to release them into the air when they win. Jumping around like a kid.

So, I see him about 2 weeks after.

I say, "Hey, where are the balloons? Did you pop them and destroy them"??

:laugh2:

He laughed, "I let them go' BUT not in the way he wanted to.

I was in Starbucks about a week before SB and there was this guy with his Stealers jersery. Not an obnoxious guy. He walked in with girlfriend and her friend.

Someone commented, "Hey, Stealer huh?... implying that they got this one"

His response was, "thank you, thank you... yes"

:laugh2:

Seriuously though, I am so glad they lost.
I dont look for fights or trouble.... but that was gonna get ugly if Stealers won and he would have gone heavy with the ballbusting!

Both of US = very passionate about our respective teams.

LMAO

I understand completely, .. I live it too.

Prior to the game, they spoke of the Super Bowl as if it were a movie that they knew the ending to.

They planned their post-game parties with the same certainty that I would plan a New Years Eve party.

They knew it was going to happen, they just had to wait for it to happen.

Oh I know you do... lol

For me, it was going to rough. Rough in the sense.

It 4-2 = advantage Stealers until we dominated in the 90's.

I never saw us relinquishing that. My "Opinion" is that Jerry aided in that. But thats another thread :)

So, we go up 5-4 in SB's. Breaking the tie by beating them = IT WAS NICE!!!

Then they win that BS Superbowl vs Seahawks. I was peeved.

Tied = DAM!!!

They the Cards are on the verge of beating them = Ben pulls that play outta his butt. (actually I give him credit - he didnt) but still.

They could be 4-4 in SB's but they are not :(

So.... we got work to do. But one away from tying is better than 2 away. :)

I have seen many replays that show that both of Santonio Holmes feet/toes never did touch the ground at the same time on that catch in the EZ.

Of course, they don't have to.
