its not about being racist.. its all about money why do you think the legal drinking limit is .08 not because your impaired with 2 beers which is basically what .08 is but because its easier to get you on DUI ( more money).. why do they give speeding tickets? for money... why do they have street cleaning? to clean streets or so they can give a 40 dollar ticket to each car still parked there.. thats what its all about money for the pigs..

Although your joking seems ok, but in reality that is somewhat true, whatever way you look at that topic.

Drunk driving is something that happens on such a greater level and such a greater risk of loss of life that I just wish some of these "pigs" would understand that driving drunk factors into fatalities waay more than parking problems or speeding.....I'm still stuck on the crappy 51 in a 45 I got not too long ago.

i wasnt joking when i said its all about money... cuz it is... drunk driving is an awful thing but when they give you a ticket for doing 65 in a 55.. do you think thats to save your life or do you think thats to make money for the court?

I never said I doubted it, I just think that the state would be much better off in scaling back speeding, I understand the need to pick up those guys doubling the limit but saying 6 over in my case wasnt exactly hurting anyone on I75 at 3 in the morning......

It is overboard and I firmly believe any felony speeding (30 over) or drunk driving shouldnt be handled with a slap on the wrist but with stiff fines/penalities/jail time.

Didn't watch the video when I posted earlier, and I didn't realize this was last season and not just recently. After watching the video I've gotta say... that's messed up.

He didn't do the field sobriety test the way it's supposed to be done, with his arms straight out to his side. However, I gotta say he didn't sound very intoxicated to me,(ie., slurred speech), even though he used a lot of foul language and played the race card. I wonder how he did on the breath machine?

Do we have experience with this particular test? :D

Yeah. It isn't like black folks are any more likely to get pulled over than white guys. Yeah. Not at all.

Yeah, what a shame. Getting a ticket for not obeying the law. Stupid Pigs.....always out to get the money of people who just can't seem to follow the rules of the road like the rest of society.

It was pitch dark out. I really doubt the cop knew what color the person he was pulling over was.

I must have missed the "funny" part.

The part when he says something about Jacksonville being a Hic town and of all the places he could have ended up, I thought was rather amusing.

They need to give tickets out to all the slow drivers out there. They're the dangerous ones who cause accidents. Cutting people off all the time, making you slam on the breaks. Waiting 5 hours to make a turn. Not paying attention to anyone but themselves. Man I hate slow drivers.

I live in Jacksonville, FL as well and I am caucasian. I don't believe racism has that much to do with it. It is ticketing opportunity.

I am an interesting example. Several months ago I was crossing this typically busy intersection and the light was still clearly green. The light changed red before I got to the middle of the intersection. A police officer came out to the intersection from the opposite side and directed the driver in front of me and yours truly into a gas station parking area. We both got ticketed for obstructing traffic. There were 3 squad cars busy pulling people over and giving them tickets for this light changing technicality drivers can't control

In the same neighborhood area, 6 months prior, I was driving through a small housing area and came to a complete stop with the nose of my car extending less than 6 inches past the stop sign. When rounding the corner of the street the police pulled me over and I got a ticket for not stopping at the stop sign properly. The cop stated that it was neighborhood resident political but that I had to be more careful driving in this neighborhood.

I had my kids in the car and a couple of their friends. It was embarrassing to me but also they viewed it as highly unfair. They thought the cops sucked. There were also no white barrier or stop strips painted on the road in line with the stop sign.

On any given day police officers going through this neighborhood treat the stop signs as a rolling yield sign. Their cars slow a quarter way through never even coming to a full stop.

Despite the unfairness I don't overall view the police force as racist or corrupt. But I do believe there are police officers or departments that enforce more than necessary or self-servingly.

The idiot football player in the video is pathetic. The last thing cops want to do is ticket their hometown pro football players.

Not all cops are bad guys but there are alot of A hole cops and I am sure plenty of people on the board have come into contact with them is some fashion thoughout their lives.

There are many racist cops and even more jerk ones and I don't blame the guy for saying what he said.

I bet being black has met many of these bad cops I speak of.

He isn't talking out of his.....lack of information :) . I would wager he has had at least on bad experience with a cop in the past.

Not an excuse but I understand why he would be so upset.
