Furboy Second to last Monday no-trade mock for 2021

I'm with you overall, but the draft shaped up to where I ended up with 4 CBs. There wasn't really a much better option in round 7 for me. Though, I did forget about Canady and Goodwin. So, perhaps I could've taken some other position in the first round 6 pick.

You should forget about Canady. I'm betting the team already has.

I think that Tre Brown would be able to beat out Brown in open competition. He's not as tall, but he's feisty going after the ball. Also, he wins on the special teams side of the ball. We do need help at KR and PR, and this draft not only addresses major weaknesses on defence, but it also upgrades our special teams which were a disaster last year. Also, I think Bynum can outduel Lewis in open competition.

When you get into the fourth round and beyond, you're lucky if you get players who can beat out the current players on your roster and make the roster. Look at last year, we drafted Reggie Robinson in the fourth round and he barely sniffed the field.

Too many fans who do mock drafts count on every one of their players being better than what we've got, and that never turns out to be true. That's why the early picks are so important, because the chances of them being better than what you've got are a lot higher, even if they don't always turn out to be what you hoped.

I strongly believe that we've got to take a corner in the first or second rounds. Within those first 44 picks, we should have a very good chance of landing a starter. After that, the hit-and-miss aspect increases. It's part of the reason I wouldn't mind a trade down, because if we can get another pick in the top 50, there's a good chance we could nail down three starters and then hope for the best from there.

Maybe if he'd been signed by the previous regime. He's considered to be a very good special-teammer and a solid nickel corner. If I remember right, I believe he was graded before we signed him better than both Brown and Lewis.

I believe they chose Goodwin for that role. And I don't think they will keep two of the same guy.
