Furrey and the Star....

someone on the D should have knocked him out but we have no heart and players dont care that they are a Cowboys player so they couldnt have cared less

I half expected to see George Teague to come flying out of the stands and hammer Furrey......

No one on this team has the gonads that Teague had. We were discraced and the defense just watched it happen like they were fans in the stands. They didn't care. This team doesn't care and their attitude and play on the field prove it.

I would start by firing Zim and Parcells tonight and go with an interim coach for that last game of the season, which will be at Seattle, and start over next year. We have some good players but not enough who give a crap.

yeah that was actually kind of funny to me, the irony and the symbolism of the whole moment.. I love the Cowboys like the next, but watching that unfold was like damn we're literally letting the Lions, of all teams do whatever the hell they want.

This is still a good team, I think EVERYONE looked beyond the Lions, and once again we got humbled. Not going to panic, but we got three road games now.. there is going to be a lot of gut checking for sure..

I don't see how they can look beyond the Lions with the way they've been playing these past few games.... "They are what they are..."

If this team looked beyond ANYONE, they should summarily executed.

I was more ticked off that he did that right in front of where the special handicapped fans sit. You stay classy, Mike Furrey.

I thought he showed a good arm...powerful, accurate.

Well done.

Why not? It's not like any of the Cowboys were going to do anything about it.

YAKUZA

do you guys read the threads before you post?

I'm just ticked my freaking thread got lumped with this pathetic thread... I wanted to actually have replies to my post ******

The players probably didn't notice because they were walking back to the sideline with their heads down.

I would say it was worse than the TO on the star thing, because he physically drilled the ball as hard as he could at 1 of the stars nailed up on the end zone stand level, and made the star come crashing down.

Who the "F" is he? He is a no body A hole going no where, and he does that and no one on our defense decides to catch him the next series and break his back... I hate this team except for a small hand full of players, and I absolutely hate this coaching staff.

hell they looked beyond them to me..

All week it was:

The Lions are 2 - 13, they're on the road, Mike Williams is struggling, Kitna is mediocre, the Cowboys just lost to the Eagles and play good in the next week type games. Judging from this forum, a majority of the posters were chalking this up as a win before we played, and a majority of our concerns was on what Atlanta was going to do, or who was calling out who instead of how to win football games. It wouldn't surprise me at the least if the players were thinking the same.

It has nothing to do with how we're playing, this team got humbled to me. Thinking we could just walk into Texas Stadium and win just because they were the Lions and we've beaten up on teams like that all season. Now we have no choice but to play football, because we are that team that is the weak link in the playoffs.. we don't have time to be picking fights and losing players in the playoffs.. let's just focus on football and shut someone down...

none of you guys saw mike williams pose on the star in the endzone TO style just before his whole team jumped on him? We got punked in our own house all day long.

Get real...

first, there's no freakin' penalty, and the ball isn't a prop...it's a ball slam against a wall, just like a spike, and guys do it all the time...the fact that he threw the ball hard enough and accurately enough from where he was to knock that star down just means we should sign him to play backup QB.

second, the guy may have had 100 catches and 7-8 TD's after today's game, so I'm not so sure I'd be calling him a lousy receiver...I'm not sure I'd be focusing on anything other than my own sad team after today.

come on, I know you hate the team but that was bush league, what if he missed and nailed one of the disabled guys in the head?

They have no concept of team. It goes back to when Newman got jacked up on the sidelines in the Indy game and they were standing over him taunting and noone did a damn thing. I want to see some retaliation. I want to see some heart and defense of teammates. You can't manufacture what isn't there. Ol Furburger should have caught a late hit in the grill next series.

It was disrespectful whether you want to talk about or not.

why the heck should an opposing player respect a plastic star hanging on a wall? It didn't even happen on the field of play like when TO stood on the star...guys slam the ball against a wall every freakin' week and spike the ball on the other team's logo...this was nothing...he was so freakin' far away from that star when he slammed the ball into the wall, I'm shocked you guys even give him credit for aiming at it.

This is what we have become, a joke......no rspect at all, teams like the Lions come in and dominate.....we allow a 3rd tier WR, come in and throw the ball against the Star mocking us....WOW, how the mighty have fallen.....
No reason to get worked up over it, he could be a Cowboy in a couple years and then you'll have to cheer for him.

Surely, you aren't saying that he did not intentionally hit the star on the wall? It was blatantly obvious. Say you don't care. Say stop him from scoring. But don't say he didn't do what he did intentionally and disrespectfully.
