My question is why people don't understand that resign and re-sign are different words with different meanings

My question is why such a simple lesson needed to be imparted with such condescension? Also, why the person demonstrating such condescension didn't understand that "resign" and "re-sign" should be placed in quotation marks (or otherwise highlighted) when being referred to as words rather than being used to express their meaning? Seems the sort of thing one should know, and the sort of convention one should follow, if aggressively slapping someone else down for their grammar.

Our future CB1 may change from week to week depending upon the opponent's WR1. Against a guy like Julio Jones, I think Awuzie's size makes him a better match-up than Lewis. Against an Antonio Brown, I'd go with Lewis as CB1 to try match his quickness.
