Consider the strength of the Vikings defensive front 4. It is their defense's greatest strength and widely recognized as being one of the best. Overall, this year Dallas' OL played pretty well with a few exceptions and against the leagues best were exposed or overmatched. I don't know that the OL needs a drastic emergency over haul as much as when playing teams like the Vikings or Green Bay who have huge DL like Jolly and Pickett, B.J. Raji, just using a better/different blocking scheme for those teams.
The reason I question is because of how off/on the line is. I just feel the line Dallas has now could do much better than they did. Dallas needs to develop younger players but they were just awful today. So many plays it was just a jail break w/ Romo running for his life or the RB getting hit as he took the handoff. They (OL) can do better than that.

The thing is I like Kosier, for instance, but he does have trouble vs. big DTs (as would quite a few OGs). But if we're going to take it to the next level that's one position we should try to improve upon. It's not that Kosier is poor or anything, it's just that's he's "ok" to "slightly above avg" imo.

I'm fine with Gurode and Bigg. As for Colombo, I have never seen him have such a poor game. I have to think a lot of it was rushing back from his injury. That said, we should still look for another OG/RT type - depending on the staff's views on Brewster. But we clearly need to develop another couple of guys.

I don't think Free is a LT... The future LT isn't on the team right now.

Tell me when you are a professional Scout, and then I will take your word for it. From all the reports and what I see myself, Free is LT for future. He might not be as good as Flozell, when Flozell is playing good, but I think he will be a good LT.

I think question now is, do we have a Future RT on board or not. And LG for future.

why do we need a RT?.colombo will be back to full fitness and free can back him up.Flo will not last the whole season and we shouldnt depend on him at all.lets move up and draft a stud LT.

It's thinking like this that kept Romo on the bench so long.

Free is our best OL by a wide margin right now. He is going to be better next year. He basically stoned jared allen 1 on 1 while the rest of the OL around him fell apart.

Yet you want to keep the other incompetents and draft an unknown.

Free is the LT. He has already shown he can play against the best in the business.

I think Brewster may be able to play one of those spots. But to hedge ourselves, I have to think we'll draft at least 1 more guy.

Colombo is garage. You guys love him because he pushed Deangelo Hall around 3 years ago. Big whup. He can push around a 190 lb CB. He sure as heck couldn't block Edwards today.

Bryan Bulaga LT 6/6 300IBS + for Iowa he dominated most time he played. In the Orange Bowl he dominated the number three DE for Georgia Tech. He aslo has nasty side to him when he is playing.

The future LT is Doug Free, case closed.

We do need a RT and LG though.

That case is not closed IMO. If a stud, shut down LT falls, they have to take him.

I think Colombo has seen his best days... I'm all for drafting a LT in the 1st round.

No stud LT is going to fall anywhere close to us at the bottom of the first. You only get project LTs there. OTOH, many very good RT types and pro bowl OG/C types to be found here.
