yeah, we have an AWESOME QB that has never won anything. NOTHING !!!! Here are the problems withe Drew.

1. He holds on to the ball too long
2. He takes too many sacks.
3. He tends to choke under pressure.
4. Has a tendency not to show up in big games.
5. Cant move around in the pocket.
6. Cant make something out of nothing. Meaning when the pocket breaks down he is toast.

Please enough with your homerism, Drew is average at best and this year proves it. He blew a couple games with picks, pitter pats the ball all the time. Cannot escape pressure. The list goes on and on and on. I would rather groom someone else than have another year of Bledsoe.

I hope all of you realize we have found our QB for the next 3 or 4 years there is no reason to discuss prospects other than to replace Romo or Henson. Bledsoe is awesome and I am glad he had the year he did.

And Tampa would try to trade him why?? It seems like we Cowboy fans live in La-la land sometimes. No offense, but if QB position is so hard to fill, especially young one, why would Tampa be so stupid to trade one?
Because of Brian Griese? Heck no, if anything Griese is one to go. You don't trade Young developing QBs who has shown real promise in NFL.

Besides, if BP stays, Bledsoe is his Starting QB, PERIOD. And we will not be drafting high or trading for QB, mark my words. Romo and Henson are it, whether some of the fans here like it or not, they will be future starters, one of them, unless they show definitly that they wont cut in TC or Pre-season.

If I am correct, Griese just signed a long term contract with TB. That is why.

Boy, what great reasoning, like I didn't mention that in my post. Like I said, Griese would be traded first before Sims, but both of them are not going to go anywhere next year is my bet.

bledsoe is not the future, he is the present. We need to start grooming a qb to compete with Henson asap. A rookie takes 2 years to start to get a feel for the game we need to plan ahead.

A team foolish enough to hold the status quo rather than looking for a young heir apparent to develop and have ready to step in a year or two from now deserves whatever it gets, which means a repeat of the years we faced after Aikman retired. The time to draft a young QB on day 1 and develop him is when you think your starter has 3 years left in him, and you might cut it to 1-2 if the youngster is ahead of the curve...waiting till your starter announces his final year or his retirement is ignorant....almost as ignorant as waiting on Romo and Henson.

I agree. I think Bledsoe will continue to start for the next year or 2 and the time to find his replacement should be now not after he is gone. Dallas was in that position with Aikman and failed to get a young QB to take over once Troy left and the results was a cast very poor QB's over a 6 year period.

I bet BP goes after Chris Simms in the off-season.
1. Chris Simms is under contract and not available.

2. Tampa Bay has two young guns in Brian Griese (injured) and Simms (first year playing)....both are on the very cheap side as Griese was running out of options and Simms was a third round draft pick.

They'd be idiots to dump either QB.

1) He tries to make the big play, granted, but what about when it pays off?
2) **** what about our OL?
3) After last week he has a better comeback record than the GREAT Brett Favre.
4) The only loss I attribute to Bledsoe was the Seattle game.
5) Rollout pass in the Carolina game looked pretty good to me.
6) Yeah and how many wins does Vick have this year? When is the last time a scrambling QB won the SB?

Thats a silly comment if Bledsoe is our projected starter next year then he is our future QB.

Various teams have inquired about Chris Simms' availability in recent months, most notably the New York Jets and Denver Broncos. But the Buccaneers didn't make him available either time. After this season, though, it could be a different story. Some team could have the chance to sign Simms to an offer sheet that will be difficult for the perpetually cap-strapped Buccaneers to match.

Chris Simms is a restricted free agent at the end of this season. According to Tampa Bay's website, Griese is solid as the starter and just got a new contract extention, so Simms may be available soon. And may be gotten cheap. I think this would be a more viable alternative than wishing and hoping for Leinart to fall to us in the draft, or for crooked arm Henson to see the light, or for us to keep on picking up washed up old vets in the twilight of their careers (who's next? Jeff George? Doug Flutie?)
