I'm sorry, I watch a lot of BC games coming from a BC family and this guy is nothing like what you think you would get from a man his size. Opponents never found the need to double team him because one man never had a problem handling him. He disappeared for quarters if not games at a time.
I don't where this misconception comes that he eats up space and closes down the line of scrimmage because it could not be further from the truth. Opponents focused on Brace in the run game. He also has a bit of Shaun Rodgers in him because I have never seen a player so anxious to take a break after every snap.
I just don't see the fire, want to and athletic ability in the kid to say he is going to offer anything at the NFL level.
I also disagree with thise assessment. I watch Brace about 5-7 games and he looked the part.
I went on the Boston College fan board and ask a few guys what they thought of him seeing him all the time and here is what they said:

"Big" Ron Brace affects the oppositions run game greatly.

Jagodzinski brought in a new strength and conditioning coach when he was hired and told him he wanted all the linemen to lose weight. Ron shed something like 30 lbs off his frame before the 2007 season and became a new player. This is why he seemingly came out of nowhere, and yes he was that affective.
