"The defensive coordinator wasn't the problem," James said. "What did we really solve by letting him go? The situation is still the same. I think there are other moves that need to be made but it's not about me, I'm a player so I can't make those decisions. I've just got to deal with whatever we have, whatever we put out there."

James is right. What did this move do? Firing Stewart did not solve any of this team's problems. With Stewart's play-calling duties stripped this season, he was probably better off re-starting somewhere else.

this is what really bugs the heck out of me, bradie james still talking, this stuff has got to stop and stop now

Wade needs a butt kicker as DC if he is going to be bear hugging the guys.

Defense is about emotion. Philips has some goofy version of it and Stewart had it when things went well but no one shows any fire when things go wrong except poodle head.

My biggest frustration for the season was not a single guy getting replaced on the field after that first craptacular effort to tackle a baltimore ball carrier with the game very much on the line.

I would have put in Ellis for Spencer immediately and if I had a healthy safety they would have went in for Hamlin.

I actually do think that Wade is extremely reluctant to bench someone after a foul up. I understand leaving them in and hoping they get it right next time. But at times you have to be more responsible. And I don't think its an easy task. So easy to look in hindsight. And replacing people doesn't always get it done. I've had coaches apologize for putting me in without the knowledge to get the job done.

It's not easy to be always right. But I agree that Spencer goes around blocks too much and Ellis is better now against the run. And I don't think we had a safety that could or would tackle at that point in time. They were all too banged up and/or not good enough to do the job.

If it sounds like I'm talking out both sides of my mouth it's because I am.

granted, stewart was a bad defensive coordiantor, and when wade took over the defense things improved,

i do like having manusky on the team, because he is suppose to be pretty good, and he knows the 49ers team really well as well as some teams we will play this year,

what annoys me is that the Coaches are told not to talk.....Jerry isnt talkin....but the players are still running to every media outlet they can

The Niners actually have some nice talent on their D (lots of former #1's on that front 7), but someone explain what Manusky did exactly that has everyone on this board drooling?

Translation: What good does it do ME to cut the guy that cut all some slack? With him gone, how do we continue these dominos tournaments?

So, are we looking for several ILB this offseason?

I hope so. I am tired of the whinning. He's not that good anyway. I don't care how many celebrations he does. As one poster said, it's everyone else's fault but theirs.

Bradie James questions Stewart firing

Cowboys linebacker Bradie James had a lengthy interview on the The Ticket this morning with Norm Hitzges about what went wrong this season.

One thing James doesn't sound happy with was the recent firing of defensive coordinator Brian Stewart, who was forced out after two seasons.

"The defensive coordinator wasn't the problem," James said. "What did we really solve by letting him go? The situation is still the same. I think there are other moves that need to be made but it's not about me, I'm a player so I can't make those decisions. I've just got to deal with whatever we have, whatever we put out there."

Two words for ya, Marsha Brady James: Shut your dang pie hole and stick to playing football rather than creating more distractions!

I say as long as Jerry Jones is the owner, the Cowboys will not win another Super Bowl, because he will not let coaches coach.Coaches are all ways looking over thier shoulder with this guy.He hires a OC without the Head Coach, thats a joke.
