Jay Glazer weighs in on Ray Lewis, Cowboys

Fox Sports Jay Glazer joined the show to weigh in on the big NFL offseason storylines.

-- The Cowboys want to bring in Ray Lewis because they need a star in the locker room. A guy who will go after guys. Glazer said the best players in Dallas are too nice.

-- Glazer says Lewis "isn't slowing down yet." He's still effective on the field.

-- Glazer doesn't think that Lewis can straighten out Terrell Owens. Glazer suggests T.O. might not be on the Cowboys roster.

I think he is saying a star who has "star power" with his teammates aka in the locker room. Romo, Witten, and Ware are definitely stars but I don't think they get in people's faces and rally the troops like Ray will.

I've heard the new locker rooms at JerryWorld are big but he really only had the guys draw up plans that could fit TOs ego. Figured that was about as big as they got.

In all seriously Ray Lewis kills people. Literally. Be awfully hard to start an altercation with a guy who kills people.

I think you have to read the sentence in the kontext of the other two following sentences. The point of his saying is not the starplayer it's the star player who goes after other guys because he isn't nice like our star players.

Bringing in Ray Lewis would be stupid. Are you buying a babysitter? He's getting old. Throwing big $ at aging players is stupid. (see iOwens or Marco Rivera) Now, I can understand the Ravens paying him, because he's the heart and soul of their franchise. They would be acting loyal, and perhaps he will not get hurt during his new deal or "lose it".

Throwing $ 27 million dollars at this mess in Dallas is like throwing jello against the wall. It's a desparation move and foolish.

He's not a risk that I want to take, but I understand the Ravens' position. He's their guy.

I was hoping JJ would have gone a different direction with the HC this season.

Wade sometimes appears impotent as a HC on the sidelines.
