More practice highlights

WR Terrell Owens beat CB Terence Newman on a bomb from Tony Romo. Newman had tight coverage, but Owens had just enough room ot catch the pass.

DE Chris Canty wiped out C Andre Gurode and offered to pick him up off his back. Gurode shook his head and said no.

Highlights of 11-on-11
* CB Adams Jones had a PBU of Tony Romo which would have been an interception on an out-route on the sidelines if WR Mike Jefferson hadn't held him.

* DE Chris Canty blew threw the first-team offense and nearly took a handoff from Romo on a running play.

* TE Martellus Bennett was rotating in with the first-team as the second TE.

* OLB DeMarcus Ware (no shock) jumped offsides anticipating the snap count.

* Ware whipped a frustrated Colombo just before Romo completed a pass.

* Backup Brad Johnson checked down to a 3-yard route every time he dropped back (or so it seemed).

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we carry 3 QBs this year, depending if Wade can get a guy with good upside.

Not sure how much B Johnson has left in the tank.

I really hope we extend Canty soon. I think he's really coming into his own as a player.

Rick Herrin seems to be very fond of reciting what fans are already concerned about. He doesn't like Brad Johnson's arm on the first actual practice, and he mentions how Roy Williams is getting picked on by the Cowboys offense. I think he just knows what people will bite on.

I sure hope the team doesn't carry 3 QBs. I can't stand wasting a roster spot on a guy who will not play.

I think if JJ gets his hands on a young guy with upside, maybe Simms, he could carry 3 QBs. Definitely not ideal, as we probably want to stash an extra CB or LB or WR, but I think it may happen this year.

If the team got Simms, hopefully they would cut Brad. If there is a young QB worth keeping, Brad isn't.

At least thats how I feel. Would it really matter if crayton or stanback had to act as QB for the remaining time in a game as opposed to Bartel.

I think it if came to it, the team is screwed at that point. Ride the rest of that game out and pick someone up after.

So, I think if they have a QB who is worth keeping, Brad shouldn't be. I just hate the idea of 3 QBs.

I frikkin love it. Rat and Tank are full of nasty while Canty is the gentleman destroyer.

Gurode also needs to learn to stay off his back and should just be thankful that Canty didn't offer him a faceful of cleats instead.

AdamJT13 posted info after the Glenn releasing that we're just below 10 mil. in cap now. So hopefully Jerry inks Canty after the WR seach is complete.

I wish teams could have 55 man rosters. Given the number of injuries in the NFL, maybe the roster will be expanded one of these years.
